Forgive my naivete, but I thought Wizards of the Coast was making the same thing as Decipher - just under a new license. Aren't Wizard's cards also referred to as a "collectible" card game (CCG)? If not, what gives?

They are two totally different games, just both using Star Wars license.

Wizards game is reffered to as Trading Card Game (TCG)and uses dice. Deciphers game is Customizable Card Game (CCG) and doesn't use dice.

They pretty much have nothing in common except they are both Star Wars license games and its light side vs dark side.

    Which one is better?

    Tell, time will.

TCG and CCG are basicly just different names for the same thing and can be interchangable terms (for example- Decipher made both the Star Wars CCG and the Jedi Knights TCG).

For the purposes of this board however, Decipher's game is referred to as CCG while WOTC's is referred to as TCG, mainly because that is what they were titled by their respective manufacturers but also to distinguish between the two games more easily than "classic" & "new", for example.

CCG is a good game. TCG is not.
