What's your favorite episode of the show Taxi?

I have a couple:

The one where Jim is in the abandoned building he has as his house and the wrecking ball comes in while he's sitting there watching TV or something. He then moves in with Louie and accidentally burns his apartment up. I like his explanation of what happened with how he fell asleep while smoking but it was a beanbag chair or something that he left on the stove.

The one where Jim had a pet horse. The funniest part to me was when everyone came over and he said to them that the horse had been sleeping for a few days. Bobby goes and finds it and sees that it's dead and tells Jim.

The one where Alex got back into gambling. I loved Jim's story of how he hit rock bottom. He told Alex he was eating mushrooms or peyote with an Indian near a cliff until one was left. They both wanted it and he finally let the Indian have it. The Indian ate it and the proceeded to jump off the cliff.

 

The one when Jim has to take the driving Test to get his cabbie license renewed and he keping asking alex what a yellow light meant.

Alex tells him "Slow Down"

And Jim ask the same question again but a little slower.

What...Does...a...yellow...light....mean?

They do this for another two or three times with Jim pogressively getting slower. An Instant Classic.

 

The one that was on Family Guy

 

Yea the driver's license one was a hilarious one. Not just the yellow light part, but when he's filling out the application and everything as well.

 

anything with Reverend Jim was hilarious.

 

The one where Jim went to the party with marilu henner and tried to play the piano. She was all emmbarassed at first and then it turned out that he could really play!

"I must have had lessons." -Jim

 

The one where Jim had a pet horse.

That was a good one. I like the one where Latka/Vic Ferrari go to therapy, the one where Jim babysits a runaway, and the one where Louie takes Elaine out for a night on the town.

 

What...Does...a...yellow...light....mean?

Definitely a great episode. To this day, my whole family quotes that line a lot.

I also liked the one where the company shut down for a while, and they all had to get different jobs. Jim was going door to door, and wanted to demonstrate the power of a carpet cleaner, so he totally ruins this lady's rug, then pulls an encyclopedia out of his briefcase. "Where can I plug this in?"

Another favorite was Jim's dream about Alex dying.

And the one where everyone reminisced about the cab that was destroyed in an accident.

 

I liked the one where Latka cheated on Simka while being trapped in the snow.
