Hou, TX When do you think we can pre-order Tickets!!

I AM SO EXCITED!!! I have been waiting for this film for almost exactly 3.5 years now!!!! OK got that out of my system... Well I have been so anxious and I was wondering if any of you fellow council men/women (is it ok if I address that way????) know of when perhaps Star Wars: EP II- AOTC tickects will be avaliabe for pre-order? I already have 4 AOTC tickets, but they are the "FREE" w/ purchase of either General Mills' Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and Golden Graham cereal boxes ( and two other cereals, only I don't remember which two!) They tickets are really cool,(you know the "movie cash" check-like thingys),and they come pictured with a different character (I have 3 Obi-Wan Kenobi's and 1 Anakin Skywalker) Well, Thanks-- nice evening everyone!-- P.A. I called Tinsletown (for like the millionth time) and they said most likely next Thursday will be when they start selling tickets- get your blankets and portable fans ready Houston!

 

*makes note* skip prom...and buy tickets...

 

I don't know what I am going to do. If they don't go on sale online and/or when I don't have class next week, I am screwed. I can't easily drive to Houston in the middle of the week.

 

Was that the Thursday on the 25th? or the 2nd?

 

i thought i read a story on the main board that an amc manager said they will be selling them on may 3rd! did anyone else see this? it sounds about right because spiderman tickets were available from them about two weeks in advance.

 

Yes, TF.N has posted a couple of things about the rumored May 3 onsale date.

Wednesday or Thursday, however, they posted the article about the armbands and May 7 onsale date in Michigan.

I wonder why they would release the tickets on the same day as Celebration II. Hmm...official word is welcome anytime now, we don't mind...

Well if they do go on sale the 3rd I live almost across from Gulf Point 30, I may have to get tickets. Its getting close. Just think very soon the media will get very involved. I cant wait for the midnight showing.

 

Did anyone go to the AMC 30 at midnight for TPM? If so, how hard was it to get tickets? I really reaaaaaaaaally want to get midnight tickets, but I have no means of staying at a theater waiting in line, though I might be able to get someone to go up there the day of.

Does anyone know if you can order them online?

 

For TPM, we just walked up and bought tickets for the midnight showing. There was no line.

 

On the one for ording tickets online, I am not positive, but I think I read somewhere that online tickets for AOTC would not go on sale till it has been out for a month. I think I saw this on TFN , but dont quote me on it. Also if it was anything like TPM, You could buy tickets early, without waiting in line, You should still be able to see the movie at midnight, but You wouldnt be getting in the biggest screen. There will probably be 3 or 4 screens open. I hope this helps. May the force be with everyone.

Well, no matter what happens...we need to meet up on the openning showing, and we need to make a maximum noise, bring back that 77's vibe back on, clap, scream, dress up, the whole wild thing! I'm the dude flying from Europe to see AOTC, see ya there!

 

I just got off the phone with Tinsletown and the lady said that tickets would go on sale on THIS THURSDAY!!! I'm not sure how legitimate it is, but if anyone else wants to call and make sure- that would be great!

They will most likely not go on sale at midnight. If you remember, Episode I tickets went on sale late in the afternoon (around 3 or 4) in '99. Hopefully, it will be the same way this time.

 

Actually I don't remember. I was only 12 when TPM came out. I'm 15 now. I didn't end up seeing TPM until May 21, 1999.

 

I have just called 6 Tinsletowns here on the NW side and none of them said tickets will be on sale this week. Spider man is out Friday and they said that would be crazy to do that. I got that from 2 managers one who I've dealt with getting tickets for our student ministry. The other said a week before and two said call back next week because they have no info available.

I don't claim these are 100 percent accurate but I can't see putting out ticket sales the same week as Spiderman. Then again who ever said that Tinsletowns always do smart things

 

I was SOOO frustrated yesterday. I had the phone book out calling every movie theater in there and all I could get were those stupid recorded messages about movie times for that day. I almost threw the phone across the room! If I remember correctly, for TPM they told us about a week before the tickets went on sale that they were going on sale. It was on ET and at SW.com. Why aren't they telling us anything this time???

Try the internet for phone numbers like amc.com cinemark.com. You can find a specific theater and then it gives you the office number or the recording number. That's what worked for me of course it doesn't really matter right now cause no theater has a clue about AOTC.

 

I just found out that AMC 30 on Gulf Freeway is pre-selling tickets TOMORROW!!!!!!!!! That is abolute for sure, extremely accurate information. I talked to the manager of AMC. Midnight showing, here I come!!!
