We know that the last Alsakan Conflict was in 3017 BBY and recent discussion regarding what could have led to most of the Jedi vets of the Great Sith War dying before the Mandalorian War got me wondering what could have taken out so many of them.

I was wondering if it was feasable to have place a Sixteenth Alsakan Conflict in that time gap in order to explain away some of the losses.

Do we have a placement for the 15th Alsakan Conflict? Even just a rough one?

Nothing at all precludes one or even two Alsakan Conflicts from happening in between the Great Sith War and the Mandalorian Wars, but they must have been minor compared to the much bigger Wars bookending them if they did happen in that timeframe.

The simple explanation for the drastic decline in numbers is that the GSW killed off huge amounts of the Jedi, tens of thousands of them. They weren't able to replenish their numbers over 5 subsequent Decades of near continuous warfare.

Which fits how the later Alsakan Conflicts were viewed as more minor affairs at the end of the day.

    My current system...

    1st - 17,018 BBY to 16,700 BBY
    2nd - 16,200 BBY to 15,400 BBY
    3rd - 14,500 BBY to 14,300 BBY
    4th - 13,800 BBY to 13,200 BBY
    5th - 13,050 BBY to 12,700 BBY
    6th - 11,820 BBY
    7th - 10,967 BBY to 10,966 BBY
    8th - Between 10,966 BBY and 10,000 BBY
    9th - Between 10,966 BBY and 10,000 BBY
    10th - Between 10,000 BBY and 9,400 BBY

The Essential Guide to Warfare gives us most of these dates.

    11th - 9,000 BBY
    12th - 8,000 BBY
    13th - 7,003 BBY to 6,900 BBY

Personal Continuity, on basis that the Hundred Years Darkness likely started as Alsakan-Coruscant issues.

We're told by the Atlas there are no major conflicts between the Hundred Years Darkness and Great Hyperspace War.

    14th - 4,990 BBY to 4,775 BBY

This I would argue is a response to the Great Hyperspace War weakening Coruscant, and ends when the Gank mercenaries, hired by the Republic to offset Coruscant's military weakness, results in the Republic reunifying to put down the Gank Massacres.

    15th - 4,250 BBY to 4,002 BBY

There is a general breakdown of Republic authority and control after the Third Great Schism. We see piracy at Twith and Hyabb in the Core, Hutt slavers and Lorellian raiders operating in the Inner Rim, and even Inner Core worlds such as Kaikielius lost to corruption. We even have Mandalorians launching genocides at Nevoota in the Colonies, and Basilisk in the Core, the Great Droid Revolution in 4,015 BBY. By the time of 4,002 BBY, the Alsakan Conflict has petered out, as the Jedi become much more interventionist and the Republic military is strengthened - this is seen by the Mandalorians leaving Basilisk for Kuar in the Deep Core. Several sectors have militarised during this time period, including Empress Teta and the Tapani worlds. Jedi and Republic authority returns to the fringes of the galaxy by driving Hutt pirates from the Inner Rim and bearing down on Onderon to end the civil war there.

    16th - 3653 BBY to 3643 BBY

Following the Treaty of Coruscant, the Republic is crippled, and Eigorm, Alderaan, Saluecami, Aeten II, Ord Mantell, Sarkhai and Manaan embrace separatism, ditto Balmorra's government in exile. Alsakan returns to the Republic when the threat of the Sith Empire threatens the entire Republic, while the Rift Alliance (as Eigorm, Alderaan, Saluecami and Aeten II become known), causes its own grief.

    17th - 3,017 BBY

I mean auto-correct is determined to force a change...

... I do absently note that the Alsakan Tessant was originally Alderaan Tessant.

How would you feel if it was the Seventeen Alderaan Conflicts?
