after his demise, what happened to the art? if thrawn were to be "resurrected", he would not doubt want his artwork back, or in a place where he could easily visit it. it seems unlikely that paelleon would just chuck it out the closest airlock, so what happened to it? is it in an imperial museum? did the empire of the hand get it?

follow the art, find thrawn's true destiny!

I'm betting Pelleon has kept it.

It was all holographic except one or two pieces.

Pelleaon (SP?) had the Killik Twillight in TUF. why wouldn't he have the rest.

The Grand Admiral stated that it was one of the few pieces of thrawn's collection to have survived.

I'd bet that when that collection was destroyed, the Empire lost quite a deal of credits. I have no doubt that Pellaeon had the entire collection appraised.

If Palpatine had an art collection, I'm sure Pellaeon wouldn't have hesitated to toss it. But this was Thrawn's collection, a man who is probably as close to a god in terms of popularity the Empire ever had - or ever will have.

My guess is that His Cloneness snatched it up during his return tour, and it was probably on Byss when it blew up. If not then, it may have been 86'd when the Chimaera was abandoned during Shadow Hand. If anyone has it, it'll be Pellaeon, but I have severe doubts as to whether or not it survived past Palpatine's last death.

That is unless Pellaeon dropped it off on the edge of the Outer Rim in between The Last Command and Dark Empire.

My bet is that most of it somehow ended up back in the UR, with Parck and Co. I wonder what other pieces where in it? (It doesn't seem very characteristic of Thrawn to keep the art onboard a warship when he could just look at high quality holographic reproductions and keep the real things locked away in a safeworld in the EotH)

The Kwilik Twilight was probably just hanging in his stateroom or something.

I dont think that anyone really cares where it is..only Thrawn could use it and he is dead, The empire may have given it back to whom ever it belonged to as a sign of good faith

They why didn't Leia get the Twlight back sooner? It seems as if Pellaeon got the Twilight during the NJO while in the EotH and not earlier.

Even if he did have it earlier, why would an Imperial captain-Supreme Commander of the Empire-Grand Admiral give the Republic president a work of art during a 20 year war?

Much of his collection is holographic, we see this when he suddenly transforms his room from a museum to a war room. What originals he does have, and he probably has some, are probably in a secure location back in Chiss Territory.

I mean, why didn't Pellaeon give the Twilight back soon after the Peace treaty was signed? Unless he dug it up from a stash in the UR.

Probably because he had no reason or desire to. Pellaeon and Leia only meet a few times in the NJO and those are either during the middle of a battle or in political negotiations.

Thrawn cloned his entire art collection, it is all on Nirauan.

CLONED? I doubt that's the word you're looking for.

I believe that Thrawn had only two originals, one of which was created by an extinct race...

And the other was Twilight. I would bet that he had more originals stashed away.

thrawn says on page 5 of htte that they were "all holographic, of course." but we know that he did collect origianls, otherwise killik twilight wouldn't matter; he could just get a holo. i believe that thrawn wouldn't risk keeping originals on a war vessel. even under his adept command it is still a war vessel. it is too risky.

he kept all his files on niruan, why not have a similar outpost for his original artwork?

I wonder if he also then left a portion of his estate to set up an art museum, then?

"CLONED? I doubt that's the word you're looking for."

It is exactly the word I was looking for. It was a JOKE. I was making fun of Zahn's obsession of cloning everyone in his Thrawn books.

Thank the Force (or maker, as C-3P0 would put it), that at least Fey'lya doesn't have a clone (that we know of)

Perhaps Thrawn's art collection was set up on Bastion and destroyed during the Vong attack, explaining why Pellaeon said the Twilight was one "of the few surviving pieces left."

would he have put it in such a political place? i can agree that he might want it to be viewed by the public, but i also look at the side of the man that knows history. museums always get plundered during military campaigns. need only look at iraq for evidence.

would he keep it hidden or public?

are we all at least in agreement that he had a collection somehwere?
