The college textbook store this year isn't offering used books for most of my classes and the hell if I'm paying 200$ for a new biology book.

So, um, anyone know of anywhere cheap besides half.com and ebay?

Buy it, take it to Kinko's or another photocopy place. Have them photocopy the whole book, and bind it. It'll cost about $60.

Take the book back for a refund.

I can wing it for a few classes, seeing how my professors seem to be lax in their syllabuses, but the biology and calculus ones I can't. And those are the most expensive of them all.

Try Abebooks.com. I know a few people who have gotten good deals there, especially if you don't need the newest edition.

Steal them. Profits from those books only benefit 5th rate pseudo-academics & crooked publishing companies. When you quit college, make a small donation to the bookshop.

are there any other colleges/unis nearby, where you could check their bookstores? Otherwise, I used Ecampus a couple of times.
