Which character is better and why? Han Solo or Luke Skywalker?

I myself believe Han is more compelling, even though Luke is more powerful and more central to the storyline.

What do you think?

Han and Luke are both really important characters in different ways. I think Han contributed a lot to the type of person Luke turned out to be, and, in turn, Luke did a lot for Han, and helped give him direction and purpose. He saw how focused and idealistic Luke was, and I think he really took heart in that.
