Saga Which faction do you like?

Now this isn't a question of who you think is morally right or wrong. Its simply a question who you like based on there military, characters and the like. I always liked the Galactic Empire for there ships, troop types and of course my favorite character Darth Vader.

 

Empire and CIS.

 

I like the Empire and CIS. (not everything about them)

 

Rebellion and Empire

 

The rebels, but only after they team up with the Ewoks.

 

I'd say Galactic Republic.

Followed by Galactic Empire or CIS. I can't decide which.

Honestly, Rebel Alliance is my least favorite.

 

The CIS is a sham. It's leaders are morons who were tricked into wasting their own resources only to be betrayed.

I would go with the Empire for pure cool factor.

I voted Rebel Alliance before reading the vote isn't about their morals, so I would change it to Rebels and Empire if I could.

I love the prequels, but the original factions were so iconic... the Rebels as the all-round good guys and the underdogs (plus - Luke Skywalker), the Empire being portrayed so effectively with relatively little material to go by if you think about it. One of my favourite establishing moments is Luke discovering his torched homestead and his dead foster parents; cue the Deathstar and blasting music. It just establishes so much about the GFFA in those few seconds.

 

Do the 'Jedi' count as a faction? Are they under Republic?

 

My opinion: I think Jedi might be a separate fraction. In TCW in the Ahsoka getting framed arc they seemed kind of separate to me, even though they work and fight for the Republic Senate. They seem to handle their own affairs not under Senate jurisdiction.

I suppose they can be considered a society within a society. Sorta of like wizards living in the muggle world in Harry Potter, except not in secret.

 

Galactic Republic and Rebel Alliance. Most of my favorite characters come from either of those two groups. I also like the planets, costumes, and denizens/members involved with these factions.

 

Confederacy of Independent Systems. Just sounds so goddamn cool and intimidating. And having billions of battle droids, slowly marching down the streets of Coruscant, that would be an impressive sight.

 

In Battlefront 2 its the PT factions that get the most play. The Republic Clones are the best army of the Complete Saga.

Used to lean heavy Republic/Empire but, the Confederacy captured my interest when I watched the prequels again as an adult. Such a fascinating faction that got so little screen time.

 

All of them to be honest. The universe is so diverse among the different factions in terms of troop types, vehicles and characters.

 

That's a really unfortunate abbreviation and you should settle for some other, as it's offensive out-of-universe. Google it and you'll get the idea.

 

Always loved both the Empire and the Rebellion the most, though the Empire does win out slightly, I think it may be their uniforms

 

As a kid, I always loved the Empire a lot. They always had the cooler toys, but as I grew older I began to appreciate the bravery that was the Rebel Alliance. Always been a Jedi fan, though.

 

Galatic Republic. Although I like the Rebel Alliance a lot, as well.

 

Galactic Republic.

When I first saw Yoda arriving with the clone troopers in Attack of the Clones, the Galactic Republic looked strong and polished, and continued in that sense, although I preferred AOTC's clones to ROTS's.

The Rebels also appeal to me, because they're the underdogs and they're constantly on the run, setting up temporary bases which can be evacuated at any second.
