Hmm...relationship drama, specifically, intriguing relationship drama. Pacing is good. Jusik's mood and tone waver from place to place, but seeing as he appears to be in a troubled place right now, that makes sense.

Some oddities:
Jusik is an ex-commando and has been married and separated/divorced/widowed/whatever but he's not even nineteen? Busy man. Perhaps there's a perfectly reasonable explanation for this (especially if he's a character from a previous work), but I found it somewhat jarring.

Thanksgiving: do Mandalorians, or anyone in Star Wars, celebrate a holiday with this name? If not, perhaps a different, even completely made-up, term would serve better, as it distracts from the narrative flow to throw a reference to an earth-based event into the story.

 

Ah, we get to see Jusik's point-of-view now? This looks like it'll be a great lot of fun! Waiting for Ardy to appear...

Love the way you tell Jusik's backstory. Like Raphire, I'm very curious about Marina, although I guess it'll take some while to find out the whole story.

A cool helmet indeed - it's programmed to respond to colors when Jusik signals so? I guess Jusik will prefer a multicolored environment then - being in a sterile lab or in the dark is not going to give him too many opportunities to use that helmet.

 

OMG ardy your doing great so far... Well since I am back online again. I will be able to answer the questions again. And Jusik does like the mutlicoloured lights.
