Who else loves the smell of fresh rain on bitumen?

I live in a hot and humid area (Orlando, Florida), and I love it when it does rain, the smell of fresh rain hitting bitumen, just the smell of fresh rain... it is so pure!

Anyone else think this way?

 

I prefer rain on grass. Rain on bitumen is a bit too oily for me.

 

I'm guessing you also enjoy sniffing glue.

Ugh, hate that smell. I also hate the feeling when it rains on an already hot day in the summer so that the rain evaporates just as it hits the pavement so you get the rising damp warm humidity from the pavement clashing with the cooler rain from above.
Grossest. Feeling. Ever.

 

That is exactly the feeling and smell that I love!
