For me, I'd say it would be Darth Zannah or Lumiya. Darth Traya comes close. My non-favorite Sith villain? Probably Nom Anor. Him or Thrawn, I'd say. Nom is a crafty wretch. I do prefer the original Thrawn of the EU to the new one, though the new one is interesting in his own right. Of course, there are many great villains in the Expanded Universe.
I would say Thrawn he was one of the reasons I started reading star wars well him and Timothy Zahn the mind behind Thrawn
From Legends — Nom Anor definitely ranks up there. So does Exar Kun. I’d probably also include Darth Krayt and Zorba the Hutt. I should add Thrawn too cuz — ya know. Current canon — Domina Tagge for sure, and not sure if it counts as a villain but The Eye of Webbish Bog.
Oh, I can't believe I forgot about Exar Kun, he is one of my favorite people in all of star wars have you got any of the epic collections tales of the jedi books? @ DarthHaas?
I do — I bought the tales of the Jedi collections so the trade paperbacks that have the original totj comics through redemption. but — I also have the original comics too. I just don’t take them out of their plastic sleeve. I was in high school when TOTJ, Dark Lords of the Sith, The Sith War etc came out, and I had just finished reading about Exar Kun in KJAs Jedi Academy trilogy books. Thought the character was very layered and nuanced — from his idle curiosity of sith relics to actual practice of dark magic. I did feel sometimes that he became a bit of a side villain to ulic’s arc — but loved his story. Wish the new canon would bring these back, cuz these were my TOTJ. Sorry qui-gon, yaddle, ahsoka, etc.
If I had the original comics I wouldn't take them out of the plastic either. I also wish they would bring back the original TOTJ
I appreciate Dawn of the Jedi though, but Dark Lords and original TOTJ will always feel like the gritty historical view of the GFFA. I wish we got more action figures and stuff from that era. Up to and including Naga Sadow.
Yeah I think they have a Exar Kun Figure but it's really rare and I agree with you 100% about more figures
Any of the ancient Sith lords and KOTOR villains. The Yuuzhan Vong as a species, Jarec, the Imperial warlords post Endor, many Hutts and the characters over there in Hutt space
Jerec seemed like a guy who knew what he was and how people perceived him. Yet he didn't care. He enjoyed it. Also, I would say that, had he lived in any other era, he would be a top contender for Dark Lord of the Sith.
So much material disney could work with and they still only focus mostly on Clone wars and a few years BBY
