WHO saves Anakin? Simple as that.

Yes, we know that Obi-Wan is going to fight with Anakin in E.P. III. So if Obi-Wan was so close to defeating Anakin, why didn't Master Kenobi finish his Padawan off?
Does someone come to Anakin's rescue during the fight? Who, and why?

The theory is Anakin falls into lava. So Obi-Wan believes that he is dead. Then Palps is supposed to get Anakin out, or Anakin crawls out and Palps helps him. One of the two anyway.

 

Well, I'm guessing he didn't help him because when most people fall into lava (or anything else that hot) they tend to die. He probably thought it would be better for Anakin to die than to rescue him for him to perhaps suffer longer and then die. I don't think he thought Anakin could be saved, physically.

I think Palpatine will probably save him, if anyone. He's the only one who has the power and interest to...

 

I think Boba rescues him.

Obi-Wan said it best,"A lot of the truths we cling to are from a certain point of view." (I don't know if that is word for word.) Dooku, plain and simple is Anakin's savior.

 

I gotta disagree with you on that one. I think you'll see Anakin kill Dooku long before his duel with Obi-Wan.

 

What would you think if it actually came down to Boba Fett saving Anakin?

These rumors were taken from the 1984 "script", which most will know is a total fake. BUT... there is always some truth in everything:
The Kaiburr Crystal (Splinter of the Mind's Eye) is the cause for him to go to the Dark Side. Here is a detailed account of his fight with Obi-Wan Kenobi. The location of his fall is the volcanic world of Sigma Vulcanus. There, he uncovers the Kaiburr Crystal, before he can bring it back to Palapatine, he encounters Kenobi.
They fight and Anakin loses his lightsaber. As he tries to reach for it, a cataclysmic earthquake rocks the planet, throwing Anakin (with the crystal) into the boiling lava
Kenobi, with tears in his eyes and anguish in his heart, picks up Anakin's saber (which he gives to Luke in ANH) and leaves Anakin behind.

 

I like the idea of Boba saving Anakin actually. He could take him to Palps and thus the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

Anyway I'm glad the Kaibur Crystal isn't real, its sounds so dodge. And I would rather see Obi-Wan defeat Anakin through skill rather than an earthquake. I would like to see Obi-Wan cry because of his loss.

 

I remember reading on the official site waaaaaay back before E1 came out, in Obi-Wans bio, something about his fight with Anakin. It went something like....
"In full show of the light side of the force, he pulled Anakin out, saving him from certain death."

so I think OW kill whoop on him a bit, then feel bad, then try to save him and involve Papatine somehow, and end up wishing he hadnt.

 

i agree with The_Anakin_Wannabe. I think Super Palpy (tm) is going to fly in, grab anakin and fly away before obiwan even knows whats happening!

I think it is most likely that Palpatine will save him or maybe Anakin will do it himself. He crawls out of the lava pit if he does indeed fall into such a pit. Climbs in his ship and flies to the Sith hideout and with his last ounce of energy crawls out of the ship. Palpatine sees him lying down, horribly burnt and near death and then saves him. In the next scene with Anakin you hear Vader's signature breathing and we finally see Darth Vader.

 

Anakin's going to be saved by a what, not a who. The dark side.

 

Anakin crawling himself out of the lava does sound pretty cool. It would show how immensly powerful he is. It would be like the Terminator.

 

that would be cool!!! having anikan crawlingon his side sizzling with smoke and having hius mechanical arm all hanging off in half...then he rolls onto his back accepts his death then suddenly Palpy rocks up and the ball gets rolling

 

Perhaps Anakin just slips at the edge of a magma hole and just the lower parts of his body(and the back) get "dipped". At the last instant, he grabs the edge of the hole and crawls back up.
THEN Obi-Wan leaves!

 

I think I would definately join the Dark Side of the Force if my manly oats were toasted and never again functional by molting hot lava, but then again a robotic gro.... ANYHOW!!! I think somehow it's another showdown with Dooku/Anakin/Kenobi, and Kenobi's disipline will hold Anakin back again, and I think this is where Dooku will make Anakin and Kenobi fight each other... Kenobi will fight Anakin... lava, etc. fight Dooku become outnumbered and have to leave Anakin behind were Dooku will save him try and turn him to the Dark Side and Palpatine knows of this to overthrow him together as Palpatine kills Dooku and tortures Anakin with Force Lighting until he gives in and becomes the Emperor's servant.

I think that Anakin will somehow be seperated from Kenobi again and he will be the one that takes out Dooku, in a scene that is similar to the ROTJ death star scenes. I think Anakin will then do some darkside deeds, and Obi-Wan will confront him. The two have a huge fight in which Obi-Wan finally overcomes him. I want to see both get a bit of saber burning and I'm not sure whether I would want Anakin to fall into lava, becuase as many people have said, you dont survive if you fall into it. I would like to see Obi-Wan shed a tear as he thinks Anakin is dead. Having Palpatine somehow save Anakin would be good, as would having Boba do it. Eitherway I'm happy. I would like a quick scene of Obi-Wan running into a Vader. Obi-Wan somehow recognises its Anakin, and Vader just goes off his nut and starts swinging his saber at Obi-Wan who is desperatly tryng to hold him back. Obi-Wan can't stay and fight because they're evacuating the area. This way we see that Vader is immensely powerful and when Obi-Wan goes to fight him on the Death Star, he knows he isn't coming back. Just my thughts.

 

i like the idea of obi wan saving him from the lava, and then sidious turns up, obi wan flees, and palpatine takes anakin and says he saved him and obi wan was goin to leave him for dead.

 

I don't think Obi-Wan would leave Anakin if he knew he was alive.

 

I think u will find that Obi-Wan did know that Anakin was still alive, Obi-Wan couldn't bring himself to kill Anakin. Even when Anakin is calling out "Help me Obi-Wan, your my only hope".

 

Well, what about Boba saving Anakin?? What spin-offs can we congigate from that theory??

Also, do you think this fight will be the ending of E.P. III?? I don't. I think this event will have it's place towards the middle.
