JCC Who would win in a race? Sylvestor Stallone or Tom Cruise?

Im watching Rocky 1 right now and just watched the training montage at the end. Stallone back then could run pretty fast for a guy his size. meanwhile Tom Cruise from what i heard he was pretty good at track in high school or whatever.

So if they were to be in a race if 1976 Stallone was here right now and 1980s Tom Cruise, who do you think would win in a race to see who was really fast?

 

I feel like Cruise, given his running scenes, beats Stallone pretty easily.

 

On the flat or going up steps?

Stallone has always had horrible technique, straining, fists clenched, head bobbing, body twisting, just way too much effort and extraneous movement; he does literally everything wrong. That said, he was on steroids and had a well trained and powerful body. He also has a slight height advantage. Stallone would have smoked Cruise. Stallone was probably at his peak speed in the eighties, despite advancing in age, as he lost a ton of body fat. He shredded down to 155 pounds for Rocky 3.

 

I think 1976 Stallone could still beat Tom Cruise if 76 Stallone wasnt forcing himself to run fast like the way he did in Rocky 1 in the training montage at the end.

Dunno how fast Stallone was when he was doing running from explosions in Rambo II if they didnt include slow motion in the movie.. Tom Cruise does have an unfair advantage since he was in track but if Stallone trained easier and better then he would somehow beat Tom Cruise in a race

 

Stallone would win but only if you motivated him with the death of his beloved mentor and you were at the end of an inspiring training montage with his former rival.

 

Running Tom Cruise always looks goofy to me. I'm never sure it's not sped up, like Vinnie Vincent.

 

Cruise unless you made them run thru the streets of Philly with a bunch of kids chasing them and made them jump over benches for no reason whatsoever, then Sly got it:

If he goes Rambo on the race all those people end up dead, a town burns down, the national guard is called in, and after all of that Stallone loses the race.

 

So bad run cycles?
