Who's on the Jedi Council in ROTS?

Another thread was discussing this topic, so I brought it to a new thread.

There's definitely been some shifting in Council members since AOTC. A few may have died at Geonosis. And some are just not on it anymore. Like Depa Billaba, who in Shatterpoint almost went Dark and hasn't completely recovered.

And then there are new members... Obi-Wan Kenobi and, it seems, Anakin Skywalker.



There is a thread somewhere (the AOTC forum I think) where everyone who survived the battle of Geonosis is listed... but I can't seem to find it. Anyone know?

 

I think we may actually see GL place more popular Jedi Masters on the Council for ROTS...Not everyone will be gone and replaced, but I don't see why someone like Kit Fisto and/or Agen Kolar couldnt be put on there

 

All I know is Yoda, Obi-Wan and Kia-Mundi, theres a pic of them in the new offical UK mag.

Wait a sec, NEW appointee as in.. someone we've never seen before or someone we have? Because if it's someone new I'm going to go out and kill some innocent bypasser..

Check out RS_77's post starting this topic for the answer, and remember that Ki-Adi Mundi was/is a Jedi Knight on the Council.

 

Well, this is what the Star Wars Encyclopedia says on the Council:

"At the time of the Battle of Naboo, the Council consisted of the following members:

Lifetime Members:
Mace Windu
Yoda
Oppo Rancisis
Plo Koon
Yarael Poof

Long-term Members:
Eeth Koth
Even Piell
Depa Billaba
Saesee Tiin

Limited-term Members:
Ki-Adi-Mundi
Yaddle
Adi Gallia

By the time of the Battle of Geonosis, Coleman Trebor had replaced Yarael Poof, and Shaak Ti had replaced Yaddle."

Darth Terrious' list has 6 members of the remaining 11 accounted for. [starwars.com's Ep.III databank has Shaak Ti listed, but lacks Piell, Rancisis, Billaba, Koth, and Gallia] Now, I know Coleman Trebor was killed at Geonosis. And, I guess Billaba's gone dark or something. I used to think Eeth Koth was at Geonosis, but apparently that's another Zabrak?Agen Kolar.

So what happened to the rest? Who else has died since then? Did Strass Allie replace her cousin, Adi Gallia? Did Kolar replace Koth somehow? Or does that "limited term" stuff mean they're only on for a while?
Were that many Council members killed at Geonosis?
What happened?

Koth died, he was on the gunship that blew up.

 

Anakin Skywalker will be a Jedi Knight and Council Member in ROTS

 

There was an entire Set Diary on the difference between Eeth Koth and Agen Kolar - I can't remember the details, but they got a different actor for "Koth" for AOTC and used different makeup and stuff, so they just created a new Zabrak "Agen Kolar" to be on the Council.

Y'all just got to go searching - I believe everyone that Terrious mentioned has been confirmed by th OS either in Set Diaries, Pablo's Q & A Thread, or the webcam.

 

Well, I like this new Council best. Better to have one composed of Jedi we've seen do their part in action than the background guys.

 

Yes, I agree, knowing who they all are makes it better. Especially if all of the main characters are on the council now.

 

I think having Anakin on the Council makes sense because that way they could keep their eye on him but, it also shows that they've gotten desperate and are making some bad picks due to the war.

 

I'm curious who decides that Anakin gets to be on the Council. Does Palpatine insist that he get promoted, or do the Jedi get desparate enough to have him on the council?

 

I'll bet it is Palpatine strong-arming him on...so that would set the whole situation up with quite a bit of resentment from the other members. Anakin would sense this resentment, which would continue to build his hatred for the Jedi, and make his purge of their members more believable.

 

I like the idea of having Anakin on the Counci, as it shows how he went from the tops of the Jedi Order, and shows just how far he has fallen.

 

I think it'd be good if Palpatine suggests it to the Council but, not strong armed. I think the idea should come as both a push by Palpatine and the desperateness of the Jedi Order at this time. Though I do like that the Palpatine strong arm wouldn't weaken Obi-Wan finally making it to the Council.

From the June 30th update:

- as of February, the Jedi Council members are as follows (without regard to seating arrangments): Obi-Wan, Mace, Yoda, Shaak Ti, Agen Kolar, Stass Allie, Plo Koon, Ki-Adi, Saesee Tinn, Even Piell, Kit Fisto, Pablo-Jill.

In the most recent Pablo update, he says that Shaak Ti is still a Jedi Master, but she is no longer on the Council. Interesting.

Perhaps she gets knocked off by Anakin's heroics?

That is interesting and it would be impressive to see Anakin knock off a member of the Council(though I'm still hoping Anakin strikes down Mace)

 

The latest Databank entry confirms Obi-Wan's status as a Jedi Master on the Council. Good for him!
