I hate opening new boxes of cereal. They make it dang near impossible.

I can't open the cardboard top without ripping the little tab. Then, when I finally do manage to get that open, the bags even funner. I think they use super glue on those, os when you open it, it rips down the side. And Cinnomon Toast Crunch is the worse, cuz they don't have that seam going down the middle to grab onto. So that's twice as hard to get open.

I mean, come on, it's usually early in the morning when you open cereal up, the least the manufacturers can do is make it easy ot get into.

Or am I alone on this?

Opening cereal boxes are near impossible because:

    A. Opening from the bottom is always a bad place to start and
    B. You have to be smarter than an inanimate object like a cardboard box.

So...since you have troubles opening a cardboard box...does that mean you couldn't fight your way out of a paper bag? ?[face_plain]

Yeah, I guess it does. ;p

And the problem isn't I can't open it, it's I can't open it without ripping it.

No, you know the little tab that fits in the slit to keep the box closed. I have a problem with ripping those. Or the pieces to the left and right.

Just use rubber bands for the plastic inside, OR buy a cereal box container, and dump your cereal in that instead.

    Sometimes it is tough.

I just end up throwing it out and keeping the bag and cereal closed with a tie.

I usually have no problem with the box, but the bag always takes forever to get open.

I find Kelloggs' boxes to be the most troublesome. But that doesn't stop me from eating my beloved frosted mini-wheats. Post's and GM's boxes as OK.

Not to be mean but if you have trouble opening cereal boxes maybe you shouldn't be allowed to feed yourself. They even print directions on the box top.

Oye, why does no one get this. As for actually, physically opening it, I have no trouble. It's just opening it without RIPPING the cardboard or bag.

Darth_Dragon_7, if it makes you feel any better, I get infuriated too when the tab holder breaks (now I can't keep the cereal fresh  ). But I don't tend to have problems with the bag.

Tupperware sells cereal containers. That could be an answer for you.
