Why didnt Darth Vaders eyes turn Yellow when he duels with Obi-Wan?

This is weird because when he is killing the Separitists Darth Vaders eyes are bright Yellow in color and he looks really angry like he blames them for the Clone Wars and threatening Padme a lot and he is enjoying their destruction but when he sees Obi-Wan emerge from Padmes royal starship then he gets really mad and starts to force choke her because he belives that they are in league to kill him on Mustafar, during the speech with Obi-Wan and throughout the entire duel Vaders eyes stay their normal color and dont turn yellow until he loses his other arm and his legs and then his eyes change with pure hatred to sith yellow right away.

Why dont his eyes go yellow early on? why do the Sith Lords eyes become yellow anyway?like a corruption of the soul becoming filled with hate and rage,indifference to the suffering of others?

I wondered why Anakin's eyes were not yellow during the duel too, before I saw the movie I thought his eyes were yellow during the whole duel. I think there eyes turn yellow when they fully give in to hate. Dooku's eyes were not yellow so I do not think he fully gave in to hate. Dooku never seemed to be fully in to hate, He still almost acts like a jedi because he seems calm and patient.

I also wonder if Anakins eyes were yellow during the whole time when he was Vader.

 

Anakin had let go of his hate when he finished off the Separatist Council. Hence his eyes turned back to normal. His hatred for Obi-wan built over the time they fought, until they changed after he was dismembered. I'm thinking that once he was in the suit and was filled with nothing but hate and rage, his eyes remained yellow until he became good again. Sidious and Maul never let go of their hatred, which is why they remained yellow.

 

But Sidious doesnt have Yellow eyes as Chancellor Palpatine, was he wearing blue contact lenses to hide the yellow color and they melted when he was deformed?

 

I never thought Anakin truly hated Obiwan. But due to circumstance they ended up on opposite sides. Same when he raided the Temple, Anakin never had Sith eyes. He knew the Jedi weren't the true enemy. Only when Obiwan leaves Anakin limbless, does he sink into his full hate and rage. And as Darth Vader in the suit, I have to believe Vader had yellow eyes the entire time.

 

Sidious doesn't have yellow eyes as Palpataine because he is controlling his darkside urges and controls his anger and hate. I believe sith eyes occur when you are consumed by your dark emotions and relyig on them to kill and to gain power. Only when Anakin completely takes out his rage and slaughters the seperatists do his eyes turn yellow. While dueling with Obi Wan there are parts of Anakin still emerging, his emotion for his wife and the pain of betrayal. He doesn't completely lose control until he's lieing in the sand limbless and burned.

 

His eyes only turn yellow when he's doing evil things.obi-wan had nothing to do with it..and yes its made clear by"I hate you" that he really does hate obi-wan.

 

That's not right. Are you saying the raid on the Jedi Temple wasn't evil?

 

Maybe not to him...it wasnt.
