Why didnt Jango Fett just shoot a Kamino Sabre dart at Mace Windu?

When Jango Fett was fighting Mace Windu, why doesnt he just fire a Kamino Sabre Dart at him?

 

There's this little invention called a lightsaber. Ever heard of it?

Well,most of the Jedi could deflect blaster shots with ease using their light sabers(unless they were so out gunned/overwhelmed) so I think it would have been futile for a dart to get past.His blaster was more useful weapon than a dart against a Jedi.He still lost his head anyways.

For that matter, why didn't anyone simply come up with a damping field to disable light sabers? Or the force itself?
The Jedi come up with all sorts of novel weapons but no one else can? Then a couple Sith take over the galaxy?

Or his blaster or his flamethrower.It's just one of those stupid/poorly done moments that seem to pop up in all SW fight scenes.Theres no reason for him not to just shoot any of his weapons instead of diving at Mace's lightsabre like an idiot.

 

well of course a jedi has a ligtsaber, but I seriously doubt that Mace Windu himself could have deflected Jangos sabre dart, I mean when he used it on Zam you couldnt even see the dart because it was too fast to be seen. It hit Zam in like 1 millisecond.

 

It's no faster than a blaster bolt.

 

1. Who is to say that Jango picked up a new one? Sure he was on Kamino, but you assume that he uses them all the time.

2. Mace can either catch it in his bare hand or slice it up with his Lightsaber.

3. Jedi cannot deflect flames with a Lightsaber.

He did. He attacked Mace first with his flamethrower, Mace jumped off the balcony and disrobed. Jango flew down and tried to grab Mace's lightsaber, after the Ronto had knocked it loose. After the Ronto ran over Jango, Jango got up, ran towards Mace firing his blasters, which Mace blocked, than cut in half, and beheaded Jango. Even if Jango had started with a saber dart, I'm pretty certian Mace would've been quite capable of dodging/blocking it.

 

But according to the Tartakovsky cartoon, they can deflect them with the Force.

 

What's to say Jango had any? I mean he was a Bounty Hunter. He had a jetpack, blaster, flamethrower. Where could he have kept it?

 

No I'm referring to the part where Mace loses his lightsabre and Jango for some reason dives on the ground to get it.That's what I thought the TS meant.

As for not re-igniting flame thrower, maybe Jango's warranty expired when he torched Mace's robes the first time.

 

This is the answer. Dart = force detection and deflection from Mace.

 

Blaster bolts look painfully slow when compared to the saber dart being plugged into her neck from that distance. I'm also sticking with the expired warranty for Jango's Flame Thrower. I'm about good continuity.

 

Please, I beg you. I implore you. Do not drag the galactic warranty scandal into this discussion.

Maybe the local Geo-stop was just out of gas?

 

Well it really doesnt matter if the dart is faster than the blaster, even the weak Jedi are strong enough with the force to block a dart

That, and Mace is much more powerful than Jango. AND Mace needed to live until ROTS.

Jedi might not be able to deflect flames with a lightsaber, but they can sure as hell use the Force to push the flames back, and unless Jango's armor has SPF 150, Jango is going to get burned. Think of it possibly like peeing into the wind...

 

Not to mention it's pretty clear Jango had a run in with a Jedi or 2 before. I mean being a Bounty hunter & all.
