Why didn't Palpatine warn the TF people that Amidala was going back to Naboo under Jedi escort?

Hi people! This question has been bothering me lately, so if anyone has any ideas or links to existing threads, please answer/redirect!

On Coruscant, Queen Amidala tells Palpatine that she believes the Republic no longer functions and that she is going back to Naboo. This surprises and dismays Palpatine. Now this must be going against Palpatine/Sidious' plans (yes, I do believe they are the same person). So why doesn't Palpatine immediately call the TF people and Darth Maul on Naboo and ask them to stay alert for Amidala and her Jedi escort? How is it that the Nubian was able to sneak in and land without anyone knowing? Why wasn't Palpatine more vigilant? Or was he aware all along and was this part of his plan? If so, how?

Palpatine had succeeded in his goal: becoming chancellor. People believed that he would bring the conflict to a peaceful end. If he had warned the TF of Amidala's return she would have died and he would have failed to keep his 'promise' to the senate... then he would have been demoted and another chancellor would have taken his place...

its possible that palps/emp (im with you on them being the same person) being the schemer that he is, we have enough proof that he just loves scheming, did tell the TF ppl or at least Maul so they can capture the Queen instead of risking the TF destroying the Nubian not knowing the Queen and the "chosen one" was abord. can you imagine Gunray being all excited "Lord Sideous, we have just blew up a Nubian trying to enter our air space"! Sideous sits there quietly thinking to himself "years of planning gone to waste b/c of this a-hole" lol

but seriously im sure he told at least Maul to get rid of any risk

According to Lucas, one of the underlying themes of the PT is Palpadious repeatedly losing one apprentice after another. So, I would find it strange that he put Maul in harm's way, and actually got him killed by not informing him at all of the impending Jedi arrival. I do believe that the TF and the people of Naboo were quite expendable in his eyes by that time - having served his purpose admirably!

About the "Chosen One" being on board, my impression from the film is that Palpadious first becomes aware of Anakin's abilities after he accidentally destroys the TF control ship and is formally taken in by the Jedi. Unless there's a backstory that is explained to us in EIII, regarding Palpadious involvement in Anakin's early life, I don't see that he was too aware of Anakin as the "Chosen One" when Aankin was still on Coruscant. If he was, I doubt he would have let Anakin get away from Coruscant!

He does not care about TF
He does not care about Maul

    They both served their purpose.
Well TF will serve more later but he does not need them at the moment.

    He became Chancellor.
If he said to TF "Hey Hey Amidala is coming" they they would suspect something like "how the hell does he know?"

Palps does not care how beat up TF is.

Maul did his job...he killed Qui-Gonn and Obi will take over Anakin's training (yes I think Palps knew about Anakin before TPM. I think he could sense the boy and see the future or part of it.) Palps wants Obi to train the boy.

DId Palaptine really think Maul could face two Jedi at once? No he probably suspected he would get sliced.

That is why Palpatine will be giving Dooku a call soon.

    Two thoughts come to mind:

    1) If Sidious had given advanced warning, it might have tipped off those in know that Palpatine and Sidious were one in the same as the Queen's movements were no doubt a close kept secret for obvious reasons.

    2) He didn't consider the Queen and a couple of Jedi to be a real threat. Remember, he didn't expect Amidala to strike an allience with the Gungans. Bear in mind, he didn't want Naboo to be freed at this point because he had yet to be elected Supreme Chancellor and he still needed an oppressed planet to gain the critical "sympathy vote".

It's also interesting to see Sidious' arrogance and shortsightedness at this stage in the story. He fell for the diversion by ordering the droid army to engage the Gungans thus leaving the city relatively undefended. He learns his lesson, though, as he doesn't fall for the same trick at the Battle of Endor!
