Why do Fruity Pebbles Rule so Hard?!?!?

I recently bought a box of Fruity Pebbles for old times sake at the grocery store. This morning I reintroduced myself to this "cereal of the gods" for the first time in many, many years. It was as if someone had pooped a rainbow in my mouth. Did the inventor win some sort of Nobel Prize? I finished the box within 10 minutes and now I am jonesing for more. Why do Fruity Pebbles haunt me and make me its slave? Does anyone else share my affliction?

Fruity Pebbles are amazing, and they would be even MORE amazing if they didn't so closely resemble scabs. That's what my brother calls them actually. Fruity Scabs. Sort of colors the texture and taste of them from the moment you start to think of them like that.

Although they still rule.

I, personally, like the chocolate cereals better. Cocoa Pebbles, Cocoa Puffs and Count Chocula.

 

I like the Chocolate Pebbles cereal more.

ah, but it's actually Frooty Pebbles. They can't use "Fruity" because they don't contain any real fruit.

I too like Coco Pebbles better. Never really ate Fruity Pebbles.

 

Trix were always my fruity cereal of choice. I still feel bad for that poor rabbit. And it's a great lesson for kids. Don't share with people who are different from you! They don't deserve it!
