Why does Mr. Bean hate the blue car?

My best friend and I like Mr. Bean quite a lot. He's a cool dude. He's really big in Hong Kong.

But we must know:


What does Mr. Bean have against the blue car?! Is it an ex-lover? Is it a potential Teddy-napper?! We need to know, man!


And what does he do for a living anyway?

 

He just likes being mean...and the blue car is an unfortunate victim of circumstances.


The meanness comes from Blackadder blood which still flows through him.
Once a Blackadder, always a Blackadder...

 

I have yet to see Blackadder. *tear*

 

If I recall correctly, Mr.Bean has had several small jobs from time to time but for the most part be probably just lives of welfare or something.
In one episode Mr.Bean did something blue car so now he avoids the driver. I don't think it went any deeper than that.

 

The blue car is a metaphor for evil.

 

It's a very odd car. Sure tips over easy.

 

Did anyone see his new movie? I saw a trailer for it on mexican tv..but haven't heard anything on US news..

I think the blue car is just in the wrong spot at the wrong time when it comes to Mr Bean. I don't recall it ever being explained. Courtney may have something there, though, but I can't remember. It's just fact. The blue car is the enemy.

I have indeed. If you liked the TV show, you must see this movie. Hilarious.

I thought the Bean movie was very Americanised and tried to make Mr.Bean a character that he wasn't. They were thinking too big, really he is quite simple.
But I look forward to seeing the new one.

 

Mr. Bean hates three-wheeled vehicles because they are an inferior design, so he takes his wrath out on them whenever he sees them.

Remember how at the beginning he didn't used to talk, but he stopped being mute at some point? That's part of the conspiracy too.

 

I liked him when he didn't talk. Part of the show's charm. When does the new movie come out?

And for your information, in the entire movie the amount of lines he mutters could be counted on your fingers. Maybe even on one hand.

Exactly. The new one isn't like that American version at all.

 

He went through stages. AFAIK, when the show started, he didn't talk at all. Then after a little while, he started saying one or two words per episode. Then he eventually did that episode where he had a long conversation with the teddy bear.

That was when the show jumped the shark.

I loved that episode where he bought so much furniture that he couldn't fit into the driver's seat of his car, so he drove by sitting on top of the car and pulling a string that was tied to the wheel.

I also loved the one where he caught a thief in the park by throwing a trash can over his head and poking him with a pencil. And then, in the police lineup, he had to poke all the people with a pencil to see which one screamed the same way the thief did. Ahhahahaha. I laughed so hard I cried.

I know exactly which episodes you mean, Mara. I can't say which is my favourite though - I'm laughing really hard no matter what episode is shown!

BlackAdder; I've seen nearly the entire thing of his live performance. The first skit is the best one - the one about hell if I remember correctly.

 

The best Bean epsiode has to be the Christmas one where he plays with the dolls and where he conducts the brass band.
