Why is Kit Fisto so popular?

I just don't see it

 

Maybe because he's always smiling. Or is he smiling because he's so popular?

 

I have no clue. He's both of my cousins' favorite Jedi.


It really does baffle me. ?

 

Who is Kit Fisto?

Which one of the background Jedi is he.

 

He's the green one with the tentacles dangling from the back of his head.

I should have known who he was but I watch the movie a lot and I didn't hear them say his name in the video or DVD version.

 

Kinda creepy-lookin' if you ask me.

 

The same can be said about 95% of the other aliens in Sw.

 

Same reason Boba Fett became popular
The fans see a unique looking character who is given a few close-ups and they become intrigued by him.
I like him because of his look, he seems to have a quirky character, and he reminds me of one of my friends from even what little we saw

All these are characters that fans seem to like. All had little if anything to do with the plot. All didn't have their names spoken once on screen. But each had something about them that captured the audience's attention.
Te names in parenthesis are characters who were even later named by Kenner or West End Games (though I'm not sure about the bounty hunters). Some were named by Lucas during production though their names were never uttered on screen.
AotC has now given us:

Kit Fitso
Luminara Undili(sp)
Bariss Offee
Bultar Swan
Hi-yah Jedi girl
and Ayla Secura.

 

plus he puked on will smith in MIB

 

The guys looks cool and I like his fighting style(even though I've barely seen it).

Oh yeah,that little baby alien does look like a Nautolan,which is Kit's species.

 

Why is Kit Fisto so popular?

It's funny how the small characters become the most popular ones. Plo Koon has a large fan base, yet he's only appeared in the prequels for about 45 seconds. Darth Maul only appeared in TPM for about 5 minutes, yet he's extremely popular. Boba Fett, the minor character with the biggest fan base probally appared in the entire original trilogy for about 6.5 minutes, yet he's probally one of Star Wars' most popular characters.

It's strange how the characters we barely even see become the biggest cult characters

 

Because if he didn't help Threepio, Threepio would speak with a Bronx accent like GL wanted, and the whole OT would suck.

Yeah, Kit's parents lived on Earth where he was born, then returned to the GFFA where he was immediately taken by the Jedi to be trained.

Although he was a minor character, he actually had some proper screen time. My fave female Jedi, Barriss Offee wasn't seen as much as Kit Fisto. In fact, I barely saw her and her master Luminara Undali.

Kit actually had that funny little bit in the movie where he Force-shoved the droid (3PO+battle droid) back and grinned. That was amusing and I guess he stuck in audiences heads.

It enabled viewers to have a closer look at a prequel Jedi and see a different side of him. A funny side.
That's just my humble opinion anyways.

 

Kit Fisto is mysterious yet he has this cool look.

Its why Boba Fett became popular.

I mean hell we all wanna have lightsabers and fight to the death defending noble causes, and thats what Master Fisto gets to do.

I mean I'm a big Fisto fan myself yet to be honest thats as honest an answer I can give.
Maybe its a deepr psychological thing, I don't know.

All I know is that Kit Fisto is a cool Jedi and I'm glad I have his action figure

Also to a lesser (maybe more) extent this is why Plo Koon became a popular.
He's mysterious yet has a cool look and you want to learn more about him.

It's most definitely because he flashes the grin after taking out a few droids

 

It's the dreds man... the dreds... Oh, and the name just rocks like an intergalactic asteroid.

He just looks cool.
And his smile is sweet.

 

It's the tentacles...Chicks dig the tentacles...And that Colgate smile...

I saw him and was like DAMN! He's the best cause he's a Rasta jedi! I hope I see him die in The EP3

 

I think it's the dreads (okay, head tentacles, I know) and the big grin.

And I'm a Koon fan too
There's so many of us, we should have a name...maybe Koonanites...

The design staff for all the SW films have produced top-notch stuff. So even characters with little screen time can look so interesting that they gain little fanbases.
