Not the one that Obi-Wan jumps & hangs on to.

Later, I think the scene is the one where Padme's officially conferring the title of 'Reresentitive' on Jar-Jar Binks to take her place in the Senate.

They show a droid at the window, similar in size to the one Zam used. It watches for a few seconds, then flies off.

    What's up with that?

    A thought, anyone?

That droid is replacing the window that Obi-Wan jumped through earlier. In the scene prior to that one, you can see two droids putting the window into place.

    Really?

    Good explanation.

I knew that thinking it was taking survaillence to watch/protect Padme made no sense as it flies away during the scene.

no, if you look closely, you can see one of them is fitting in new window glass...

As you can see in both pics, the middle pane of glass is what is getting replaced, which is the pane which Obi-Wan jumped through.

Icons (the ones under our names) are made by various members who post them in the Custom Icons Submission Thread, where they go through an approval process, and eventually, some of them get uploaded for use.

You'd think they'd have double pane safety glass up that high.

Between this, no handrails for stromtroopers walking in the Death Star, Instant slice and dice doors there, and the lack of pr5otection for the DS laser tunnel guys, the galaxy needs more safety regulation.

Not to mention that the Droid Factory wouldn't pass under any sort of conveyor safety standards.

LOL. I don't think humans are allowed in the droid factory. It's too dangerous.

Speaking of the droid factory, what is with Star Wars doorways? Every single one poses a threat to life.

You have the droid factory doorway that has a straight dropoff, the red laser doors from TPM that will fry a egg(or you), and those OT doors that would cut you in half(or make you bump your head). ;)

The droid outside of Padme's apartment was installing a replacment window from the night before when obi-wan jumped through it.

Those droids were working for the tabloids and were trying to get some pics of Senator Amidala out of uniform with a Jedi Padwan. So the headlines would Young Jedi caught in the act with Senator Amidala.
