Why was Ki-Adi-Munid's Lightsaber green AND blue...

Look closely. When they're on Geonosis, and the Jedi were rescued by Yoda's calvary, we see some of them back up into the gunships. If you watch if frame by frame, you can see at one point Ki-Adi-Mundi's blade is green. Then, if u keep watching, it becomes blue. Wtf!?!?! Any thoughts on this???

 

It's like those mood rings they had back in the '70s. It changes color, depending on how he's feeling.

You should see what it does when he stands too close to Aayla Secura.

 

movie mistake... really, you can argue that he lost his saber and took another one from a dead jedi, or bla bla bla... but it's just a movie mistake...

 

i concur. still, i might just send that question into Insider to see what kinda crap they'll cook up for an answer! btw, did u guys check it out? it does change color, and not jus cause padme's around. ;-)

Why in the heck was Obi whining about Anakin loosing his lightsaber on Coruscant during a high-speed chase? And here I thought Ki-Adi was a vaunted Jedi Master...

 

Well his lightsaber was probably taken from him when he and Plo were captured on the droid control ship and he picked one up from a dead Jedi when he was returned to the arena. Would have made sense if only they hadn't cut the whole control ship thing.

Darth-Dude, he enters the arena with one saber, does the whole treade fed control ship thing, gets captured and is returned to the arena, and then picks up a new one. Like I said it would have made sense if the scene hadn't been cut.

As was already said he probably lost it so he packed an extra. Afterall it was Geonosis.

Ah, I thought this was reffering to how his lightsaber changes colour from the beggining, nevermind. We could either make up some silly excuse, or see it as a movie mistake and pay it no attention.

 

aye. sorta makes me disappointed in ILM. they could do all this great stuff and they cant keep a lightsaber the same color between two shots? :-(

 

Considering they had to animate over 2,000 effects shots, I think its understandable that they would make a few mistakes.

ILM probally didn't even notice the mistake.

I don't know why but even though I'm a SW fan, I've never cared for one second about the color of any character's light saber. Can someone explain this obsession to me?

not an object which I have been taught is supposed to save my life from the day I first used it...

 

We're all fans i havent seen this "proposed" saber changing but also i cbf watching it that closely to see a saber change

lol anyway ill just be happy with the next film as long as the title is not "the creeping fear" very BAD TITLE LOL

 

Perhaps he has a duel-phase lightsaber like Corran Horn, only without the changing length

 

In response to the one reply about how it changes when he stands next to Secura, LOL, LOL!!!!!!! Anyway,back to logics, I think it was a movie mistake as well, but it is possible that he lost it.

 

I saw it too. In the time that it happened he wouldn't have had time to lose the first one, get another one(different colour), then lose it and get another one the original colour as his first one. The colour changed when he was helping to protect Padme when they were still in the circle.

When they are in the circle he's on one side and Anakin's on the other side protecting her from stray bullet shots. When she's going towards the gunship Mace Windu is also protecting her from blaster shots.
