Why would'nt Dooku want all battle Droids on Geonosis fighting the Jedi/Clones?

The Nemodian says "We must send all available droids into battle" but Dooku says there is too many. You'd think you want all the help you can get...

The entire war was a sham. The war was carefully prolonged as long as possible, with no real decisive victories for either side. So there was no reason for Dooku to want more droids in the battle, as he needed them for future battles.

He was ready to get the hell out of dodge. He knew the Republic would win Geonosis, so why waste resources?

well, for the Arena scene, any more droids than what they had would be counter productive. In an enclosed environment such as the arena, any more droids, and stray shots would be hitting their own droids...the strategy in fighting in an enclosed space is much different than a wide open battlefield.

The "real" reason: The Republic was supposed to win on Geonosis so they would get overconfident and appear to be the aggressors.

The public reason: The Sepratists would lose even if they sent all of their droids against the Republic and Dooku saw no reason to waste those resources.

Indeed. It is sound logic from an outside point of view to avoid wasting their droids all at once. This is partly the reason why Dooku and Grievous, along with Durge and Asajj Ventress in the eu were in charge of the show. They all have combat and command experience, which is essential in fighting a war. They have the wisdom to know what is best for their side. If Nute had been in charge, the Confederacy would've fallen much faster than it did.

Nute was more concerned with saving his own life that the outcome of what would quickly become the Clone Wars. Dooku, having prepared for this conflict for some time, was thinking and acting in a way that would prolong the conflict, as planned. The entire stock of Trade Federation battle droids was not located on Geonosis, but too many of them were on site for Dooku to simply order them all into battle.

It's called a "war" for a reason. Wars are prolonged conflicts, while sending all troops into battle would constitute a skirmish, not a war. Dooku understood what he needed to do and planned ahead instead of going for victory.

Out of universe explanation: Because then the OT would be wiped from existence.

If Nute Gunray had sent all troops into battle, then the fate of the universe would have been changed. Dooku wanted to start a war, not one battle where one side loses the bulk of its forces and surrenders completely.

It would be unwise for Dooku to send all of his droids to participate in a single battle. If the United States were to send all of our troops to Iraq then we could get that region under control, but that would cause a worldwide strategic disadvantage.

For that same reason it wasn't a good move to send the entire Jedi Council to Geonosis to rescue three people.
