I think we will see Anakin performing his new role - as Father’s replacement. Really hoping we see Mortis touched on as well. I liked your idea about Anakin being the Father (obviously) and Ahsoka being the Daughter (since they’re like best friends it makes a lot of sense).

But who could personify the Son?

 

Baylan?

 

Maybe Ezra, with Maul being the previous personification.

The WBW really takes me out of the Star Wars universe. (And into another, ha).

But hey, I haven't seen the first LA appearance and can't remember/have suppressed it from Rebels (or wherever it appears). So I'll try to keep and open mind.

 

The World Between Worlds takes me to a place between worlds.

To your question:

I don't think Ahsoka died. I don't think she is in limbo. I don't think she will somehow be brought back to life after dying. I think that her consciousness is in the WBW, and that she is somehow unconscious on a rock or on a shore, or somewhere on Seatos. By the way, the visual transition from the aerial view of the waves and the rocks to the roads in the WBW, is one of the best I have ever seen. Amazing job.

 

The name Seatos itself cracks me up in a ridiculous way, particularly when Hyuang says it. Sounds like "C DOS" like entering a command prompt. Like pulling up the cheat console in a video game and typing in some cheats. Ahsoka will probably run the same path in The World Between Worlds that the Eye of Sion is taking through hyperspace. She is alive and Anakin is going to give her a power-up. She's already basically the daughter anyway. It's a debate she's immortal. Ahsoka is meant to seem dead though. The average viewer who has not seen Rebels probably thinks she is. At least temporarily. Or Maybe she's Zordon. Sounds lame on the surface but the execution of even the more bonkers things in Ahsoka has been spot-on so I'm here for it. Maybe if Anakin (Father) is there then maybe the Son (Maul) is there. This could get way more bonkers. Imagine if instead of reaching its destination the Eye of Sion itself is pulled into the WBW.

 

I LOVE the idea of Maul. George had been thinking along something of those lines for the ST as well - take a look at some of the concept art in GL ST thread over in the ST Forum. We know Dave loves Maul. I'm going to be disappointed if we don't see him too now at some point!

 

His cameo in a WBW vision seems quite possible.
Although my main hope is that Anakin and Thrawn's first meeting will be portrayed.

He doesn't seem that evil yet though. More like Dooku before he became full sith. He seems to use dark side for some "noble" purpose for now. But not sure.

Ok time for a crazy fan theory:

What if the Son is actually who Marrok was and that other inquisitor was before. Since Ahsoka was resurrected by the Daughter and Daughter lives in Ahsoka she is haunted by this phantom of the Son who tries to kill her and takes the form of several beings that haunt her. I dunno just came up with this. I think there must be a reason for those unnatural death effects. Originally the Son didn't want to kill Daughter though but Father. Since he mistakenly believed he would be free without him. I dunno just speculating. I think that Morai bird in Rebels reminded us that Ahsoka still has daughters blessing in a way, so could it be that she also is haunted by "the dark side poison" too?

If Anakin can appear in the WBW, then who else can that at that time is deceased? Has Ezra found a way into the WBW again but this time while in Peridea? So many new avenues that can be explored not just in this series but future series, but returning to this one, can Baylan have knowledge of the WBW?

 

Yoda? Qui-Gon? OBI-WAN?!

It's possible that Anakin himself (he is the "Chosen One" after all) saved Ahsoka; to pull her into the WBW. I just found it odd that it appeared that he was there in the flesh; not like a FG (unless this is how FGs look in the new Disney SW). If it's now going to be a venue for past Jedi and such, maybe we'll see Kanan?

I’m definitely hoping they didn’t bring Anakin into the series’s just to have him exist in the WBW so he can pull her in every time she needs saved or for him to be a force battery.

 

Anakin has a robot arm still and Vaders saber on his belt. its probably not gonna be as simple as him being a force ghost.

It's wasn't too long ago when people said not only would Filoni never direct a SW movie, but we would never see the WBW in live action either.

Now not only have we seen the WBW in TV, but it increases the probability of seeing it in a movie at some point too.

 

Biggest mid-season cliffhanger for any of the D+ shows imo. The Baby Yoda reveal was also huge, and had more pop-culture impact, but the setup here with Anakin in WBW leaves endless possibilities.
