What are the Thrawn Trilogy comics like? I've seen some preview art and they're okay, nothing fancy. Pellaon's mug has changed since and it's nice to have a visual reference for the stuff in the books . . . And the page count of quite high at that, Dark Emp size.

I'm worried that they'll turn out to be what AOTC's comic was: very light, very fast scened, with medicore art. Was that the case here?

Also, do the TPBs have the issue covers at the back?

I liked em, if only for the Leia-in-skimpy-underwear content of the first one. The art was pretty good IIRC.

I enjoyed them too, if only to help better visualize some of the locales in the book- though the tall-Noghri artistic choice was odd.

I liked them. The art was a lot better than DE that's for sure.

The art differed from set to set, I think DFR was my favorite of the three on that front.

They're a good companion to the novels, even if none of the artists could agree on what Noghri should look like. I can definately think of worse comic purchases.

The only Eddy art I know of is from Phantom Affair, which I was impressed with. Although Pellaon looks like his Decipher card image, sharp and gaunt, not the respectable old man of current pics.

Personally, I think the artwork is godawful in this series. Everyone is drawn with an oval shape, and I dunno...just looks so damn goofy.

The artwork is not in the same universe as the Republic series.

I would not recommend them, my highly critical friend ;)

I have HttE, and I enjoy it quite a bit. it's pretty loyal to the novel and I like the art quite a bit.

What I've read of them, they're really not worth buying. See if your library has them--mine did, and that's how I read them.

I like them, although they have some errors.(Lieutenant Page is an alien, Chariot command speeders look like skiffs, Aqualish have tusks, etc) Especially the art in TLC adaption is gorgeous, IMO.

i remember opening up HttE and seeing Luke's saber being blue.

I never even thought about buying them or even looking at them sense.

I have the TPB versions of HTTE, DFR and TLC... I think that they are great comic adaptions. I really loved seeing the clones unhelmeted... all have dark hair, so without realising it, they stayed in continuity.

That may inadvertantly make sense, since his saber was blue in COPL too just before!

Really? What page is this on? Has this issue been addressed before? Seriously, his saber should be green.
