In the Star Trek universe they always act like The Borg with their blend of technology and living parts is the perfect way to be, The Borg can adapt to almost any weapon used against them after only a few encounters, and frequently after only a few shots have been fired at their ships.

The Borg assimilate other beings into their Borg Collective to achieve a state of perfection, by assimilating other races and gaining their knowledge and technology they bring themselves closer to perfection, their Cubes and Scout ships are nearly impossible to defeat in battle and can adapt to most weapons used against them, they also have both warp drives and transwarp drives that allow them to travel anywhere in the galaxy in hours or days.

Star Trek acts like The Borg are nearly unstoppable under most circumstances, able to easily destroy a fleet of over 150 ships at Wolf 359, and able to defeat The Enterprise-D which was the most technologically advanced ship in Starfleet when it first encountered them thanks to Q, only Q sending them back home away from The Delta Quadrant spared the entire crew their lives.

Now the obvious question is would a race of Cybernetic beings like The Borg be able to defeat and assimilate other species in the Star Wars universe like they do in their own? It seems like Star Wars ships are more powerfull and faster in general than Federation ships are, but The Borg are vastly more powerfull and advanced than The Federation is, and The Borg could just assimilate one small ship with Turbolasers and a Hyperdrive and quickly have an advantage over a Star Wars ship, recognizing the power of the weapons and usefullness of the hyperdrive.

It would be interesting to see a species just like The Borg emerge in Star Wars, assimilating other races and taking their technology and adapting to all of their weapons and not being defeated by anyone, adding everyone they defeat to their collective and quickly expanding in size and power, basically becoming a major threat, you have to wonder if the Jedi or even The Empire could stop them, lightsabers are technology and can be assimilated and adapted to, and Star Destroyers could be adapted to or captured, beaming Borg drones inside when the shields go down, not good.

RF: we generally don't allow speculation threads like this.

They tried it with the Killiks...
In all honesty, The Killiks should have pwned the Jedi. The Skywalkers, the Solos, the kriffing galaxy and their little threepio droids too.

Now, if the Borg (tm) comes to the Star Wars universe, all I can say is nighty night Jedi dogs.

The only swear word allowed here is PANTS. It's largely irrelevant, though, since all swear words seem to come out as PANTS on this site.

Anyway, I've actually never seen an episode of Star Trek in my life, so I can't comment on this.

The Borg are considerably weaker than the Daleks. The Daleks are routinely defeated by the Doctor.

And who is it that commands the Death Star?

I think you overestimate their chances.
