Would You Still Have Watched Star Wars If Luke DID Sleep With Leia?

Ok, if the bond between Leia and Luke got stronger after the first kiss, and they slept with eachother near the end of Empire. Then it was revield that they are bother and sister...would you still have been a star wars fan?

 

the notion is so far fetched that it is impossible to even entertain the idea seriously.. sorry, but that just never would have happened...

 

well, they DID kiss, so it's not as far fetched as you think(especially if you read Shadows of the empire).

yes, they did kiss.. for a reason...

up until the end of ROTJ, you have no clue that Luke and Leia are brother and sister, right? a few innocent kisses was GL's way of maintaining that facade until he was ready to spring it on you - there was no reason to take it further.. a couple kisses was enough to keep you thinking that these two people were nothing more than what The Force had brought together as companions in a quest in a galaxy far, far away...

Oh, brother. She only kissed Luke to make Han jealous because Han is who she wanted the whole time. Read between the lines, man.

 

On top of all that, if Lucas let the characters have any sexual relations, he would not have made them brother and sister in ROTJ.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaay back when, Lucas did entertain the idea of Luke's long lost sister being a whole new character, but he decided against it.

 

I KNOW ALL THIS, but, what I saying is what if THEY DID(And I know they didn't, and never will), but IF THEY DID would you still be a fan.

 

He allowed such things to happen because he hadn't decided to make them brother and sister just yet. However when he did make it that way, it makes it even funnier. Yes, the very idea of incest is horrible, but it's a moment to cringe and say 'oh my god they're brother and sister and they don't realise it'.

 

I guess. As long as it wasn't on screen.

 

Well...I live in West Virginia...so if Luke and Leia did end up bumping uglies...

i see only text on why that couldn't happen, not the answer to the question: would u still be a SW-fan if Luke and Leia slept together. so anwer the queation don't say why it wouldn't happen.



Me myself would coninue beeing a SW-fan even if Luke and Leia slept(it would have been a rather fun expresion on Lukes face at Dagobah when he realize that Leia is his sister and think about on Endor, iwonder how Leia should react).

That said, if Luke and Leia WEREN'T brother and sister, I wouldn't have a problem with it. (Actually, right up til I saw that part of ROTJ, I was hoping Leia would choose Luke, not Han.)

yes i WOULD still be a fan. Just so you know, King Arthur had a child with his half sister. Things like this happen in myth. Thats why I dont see it as such a big deal that luke and leia kissed.

No, it would be "Leia Skywalker Organa Skywalker" since Skywalker is her real last name. I know that adopted kids don't keep their last name and their new name, but it makes it interesting.
