Would'ent be cool if Quinlan was Qui Gon's first padwan?

Somewhere it said that Qui Gons first apprentice was successful and went on to become a good Jedi Knight.Quinlans a bit of a maverick?right?And students usally fasion their lightsabers after their masters in respect.Their sabers look very simaliar.Just a thought.

 

Quin's master was Tholme, as we showed in DARKNESS. Sorry. However, Quin MET Qui-Gon during the Stark Hyperspace war, at which time Obi-Wan was already Qui-Gon's apprentice.

i thought it was decided later that Qui-Jon only had two apprentice' anyway, at least until he turned Evil and trained Dooku in the ways of the Sith

 

Yep, according to Dan Wallace it's just Xanatos and Obi-Wan.

I think so (I know it said it at TOS at least). Dan even had a character write up for the other padawan to be used in the NEGtC. But LFL told him to forget it and have Qui-Gon just have two padawans.

 

Qui-Gon *did* have three apprentices, and no, Vos could not have been one of them. Here's a qoute from another thread:

Actually, not. Lucasfilm decided against Qui-Gon having three Padawans waaaay back when the Ultimate Guide to Episode I was being planed, but they apparently later changed their minds back, and a mention of his first Padawan can be found in Qui-Gon's databank bio.

Back to the original question, little is known about this first Padawan, except that he/she/it was trained for only six years at most by Qui-Gon, but this was enough to earn him the position of Jedi Master. (He did train this Padawan to Knighthood.) When he lost his second Padawan, Xanatos, he dismissed his earlier successes as a teacher, and often referred to Xanatos as his first Padawan, which is why history (TNEGTC) records him as having only two Padawans.

Dan Wallace and Hayden Blackman (right?) designed a female panther-like Cathar alien to be Qui-Gon's first apprentice for the UGTEI, but Lucasfilm decided that Jinn had only two Padawans, so the idea never appeared when the UGTEI evolved into the NEGTC. (LFL later changed their minds back, as stated above.) "

Four, surely? He takes Anakin as his apprentice at the end of TPM.

 

No, only three. Under the Code, he couldn't take Anakin as his Padawan, because Obi-Wan was still his Padawan. Thus, Anakin never actually became his Padawan.

Obi-Wan and Quinlan became quite close friends. Until Quin lost his memory, at least.

I'd like to see them together again, dispite the lost friendship. Maybe in the new Clone War arcs.
