I'd like to know the answer to that question, as well. It's not a cartoon. [face_frustrated]

Well, last month they had Ace Ventura 2. So I'm guessing they like jim Carrey.

They also had Tim Burton's Batman on recently. Watch them change the name of the channel to "The CN" soon. I hate it when channels jump the shark. [face_plain]

Get your titles straight. They're airing Dumb & Dumber, one of our generation's best comedies. I guess they have a serious programming void (odd when you consider TimeWarner must have the largest cartoon library on Earth-I guess they put themselves in a corner by putting all the old ones on Boomerang).

What I find bigger beef with is ToonDisney devoting significant amounts of airtime to the various Power Rangers shows. Not only do they suck, but they're taking valuable air time from classic 90's cartoons.

    *sigh*

First TechTV, now Cartoon Network... even the Food Network is becoming overrun with quasi-reality shows. All I have left is the bloody History Channel. [face_plain]

    Oh, and bite me, Kat.

    ... please? [face_batting]

    :p

I was glancing through the channel menu a little while ago and saw a program on the History Channel that attempted to link Saddam Hussein to the Third Reich. o_O

CN has only themselves to blame. They've killed a lot of good shows (namely, JL/JLU) and shelved a bunch of other great ones (basically, anything from the early Toonami line-ups). There's no reason they should be resorting to this kind of stuff. Although I guess it's not entirely implausible, given the increasing tendency of kids networks to short for the pre-teen/tween demographic (see Disney Channel's Lizzie McGuire, That's So Raven, et al or basically anything that airs on Nickelodeon period). I guess they're just trying to keep up with the Joneses.

Sorry, my bad. [face_blush] For some reason, I read "Dumberer" in the first post.

    Yes, I'm wearing my glasses.

They've started airing live action crap. Sucks, doesn't it?

    Dumb and Dumber = funny

    Cartoons = funny

Therefore, Dumb and Dumber = cartoon

IIRC, wasn't there a plan to have an animated Dumb and Dumber series back in the mid '90s but got scrapped?

It aired Greg but it flopped horribly

The Mask and Ace Ventura had series as well

All I have left is the bloody History Channel.

Hey, I like the History Channel!:p It's better than that endless pre-teen dribble they show on some of the channels mentioned here...[face_plain]

Maybe Jim Carrey's in the process of evolving into a cartoon, so CN decided to commemerate the event by airing some of his more funnier and zanier films...[face_thinking]

The only live-action films Cartoon Network should show are ones with animated elements, like Space Jam,Looney Tunes Back in Action,Roger Rabbit,Osmosis Jones, you know, films like that. But Dumb and Dumber....

(Captain Picard) The line must be drawn here! No further! (Captain Picard)

Yeah I was wondering what that was about. But didn't they show it during the adult swim time slot?

It bled over into what would normally be that time slot, but there is no Adult Swim on Friday nights. They have "Cartoon Cartoon Fridays."

So yeah, they showed it during a block aimed at kids.

I thought the same thing when I was watching it last night. It is a great movie. And I almost laughed at the Y7 rating they gave it. It should definately not be on that channel. I'm even amazed at some of the stuff they left in there.
