Well...duh. Phoenix. But other than that, Colossus MUST be made a major character. I was pleased to see that his role in X2 was slightly more than a cameo, but a small part. But also, they HAVE to put them in the comic bok costumes. Just put them in silk screen, the material they used to make Spidey's costume. I mean, Spidey lookede awesome, so why can't the X-Men?

I would like to see Gambit. I thought he would have a cameo. Beast and Angel are favourites too and they were the original
    X-Men.

Villains: Magneto, Apocalypse and Mr Sinister?

I read an interview with Marsden (Cyclops) and he is interested in doing the dark Phoenix saga. He thinks it would be good to have him and Wolverine go up against Jean in the next one.

Hally Berrie probably won't return so I reckon ditch Strom. You don't have to include the same X-Men in each film. Nightcrawler should be left as a cameo like the wildcard he is. IceMan and Pyro should definately go head to head.

The movie probably won't be out till 2006.

Well, the story will be centered around the Pheonix saga, obviously. The explanation won't have anything to do with aliens. Instead it will be a combination of her natural progression in her powers and the Liberty Island incident.

I want to see more of Cyclops. I actually want Wolverine's role cut down a smidge, the movies have been on the verge of being a movie called Wolverine, and not X-Men. Cameos, bunches of cameos would be nice. If the major cast can be shown as brilliantly as they have been before, it shall be a grand movie.

I want Xavier and Magneto to clash against each other some more, they're last conversation in X-Men 1 was great. If this weren't a movie about the Pheonix, i would have wanted the X-Men to finally have an all out battle on a super-charged Magneto.

Magneto certainly needs more people for his Brotherhood, but the Brotherhood would possibly have to have a lessened role due to the size and scale of the movie. It would be nice to see Toad and Sabretooth return, even if only briefly, and i want at least one addition to the Brotherhood besides Pyro... Quicksilver, Magneto's son!!

If X-Men 3 is indeed the last X-Men movie (lets face it, the cast is getting too old to pull off a fourth movie as good as the others, the series should end in a high note and it shouldn't decline in quality) then there is one thing i want to see. At the very end of the movie, i want to see every X-Man character they can think of to include in a 2 minute display of team work and raw power. I want that scene to be a special effects epic, to be a lasting image in cinema, much like Superman flying! Imagine, Iceman changed to ice, slidding along one of his famous ice slidey things, Storm flying, Collossus steeled up, Wolverine, Cyclops, Rogue, Gambit charging his famous playing cards, Shadowcat, Beast in all his blue furred glory, the Angel flying alongside Storm, Nightcrawler teleporting all over the place, Jean flying with her Pheonix powers, as many of the favourite and best X-Men as possible, and Xavier sitting at the front of them all.

I know that sounds cheesy and corny as heck. But i'm not talking about introducing those characters in the movie itself, this sequence is for the end! To end the X-Men series on a really, really high note! All of the favourite X-Men, suited up, displaying their powers, and on the big screen! Wouldn't it be beautiful just to see it once??

According to one news site (I can't rememebr which one) Hugh Jackman (Wolverine) has signed to do 2 more X-men movies. Everyone else (except Halle Berry, Patrick Stewart, and Ian McKellan, who are all still in negotiations) has signed for only one.

There is some specualtion that this means there will be a Wolverine standalone film in addition to X3.

Supposedly, Stewart and McKellan are both waiting to read the script for X3 before signing. Berry is unsure if she wishes to reprise the role at all. Expect at most a cameo from her.

The second one definately left you beleiving that this next film would concentrate on the pheonix saga. But does that mean we are going to see the Hellfire club, or the Shiar Empire (sp?). Something tells me that this is less then likely. I would agree that this should be their last attempt. Superhero series that go to four always lose their steam.

My guess, the team will expand. They hinted definately with some cameos by Shadowcat, Colosus, Jubilee (the first film), The beast and the name of Gambit. But I would like to see some other characters as well. Jugernaut would definately be fun, though he would be a villian. Personally I would like to see some old favorites like Angel and Beast or perhaps Psyloche or Forge.

Now as far as story lines go several rumours have stated that the studio was looking into the mutant virus that almost destroys them all and also the sentinal program, which would be interesting. I did manage to get a look at some sentinal sketches.

Personally I hope they stick to the Pheonix saga but one movie might be too short to do it justice.

I would like to see more explaination regarding Wolverine's past. They have focused heavily on him in the first two films - I think they need to finish the arc of his story in the third film.

The Bobby-Rogue thing was cute for one film, but past that, it is going to get trite. I think these two need to break up in the third film.

I think a showdown between Pyro & Iceman is a given. It is pretty obvious that Pyro has some issues with Bobby, so they might has well do the obvious thing and have fire v. ice.

I also think that the Phoenix storyline is a forgone conclusion....especially when you consider the end of X2.

As for the rest? Doesn't much matter to me. Loved the first two....I am sure I will love whatever else Singer et. al come up with. :D

    The X-MEN

    Prof X
    Phoenix (Dark Phoenix)
    Cyclops
    Wolverine
    Storm
    Nightcrawler
    Rogue
    Iceman
    Colossus
    Beast
    Gambit
    Archangel

With Cameos by Jubilee, Shadowcat, Banshee, Psylocke, some X-Factor members, some X-Force members etc etc etc...

    THE BROTHERHOOD

    Magneto
    Mystique
    Pyro
    Avalanche
    Blob
    Destiny
Some others I can't think of...

    HUMAN VILLAINS

    Senator Kelly (Mystique)
    President McKenna
    Cameron Hodge
    Master Mold (with Sentinels)

    OTHERS

    Juggernaut
    Apocalypse
    Mr. Sinister (cameo)

    THE PLOT

    LOVE:

The love plot should focus around numerous things. The Phoenix and her love triangle with Cyclops and Wolverine. With at the end Cyclops winning her and marrying her.

Rogue and Iceman can get involved in a love triangle with Gambit. Iceman (contrary to comics) would end up with her.

Maybe Nightcrawler and Storm can find a brother/sister type of love.

    STORY SCENES.

I wouldn't mind the film first opening with something involving the Phoenix returning. But not completely shown. Then it goes to Juggernaut robbing a bank where the X-Men stop him. Some explanation can be given about how Charles and Kaine are brothers but it's really just a subplot opening. Maybe it can be a conclusion to their confrontations.

Cameron Hodge and some scientists can be creating Sentinels for the world governments. Maybe Apocalypse can be secretly acting as a human, pushing the Sentinel project forward. Egging people on. Master Mold of course will go crazy and beyond the humans control. Perhaps something that Apocalypse wants.

The Brotherhood could try to stop the Sentinels in some way. Sabotage them. Perhaps the Brotherhood is responsable for Juggernauts rampage at the start of the film.

Storms claustraphobia should be brought out. Maybe she is captured by the Sentinels and put in a small cell.

In the end, the Brotherhood and X-Men should be fighting off the Sentinels and thwarting Apocalypses plan. Then after all of that for a big ending, Phoenix should go insane. Makes for a highly emotional ending involving Jean, Scott, Charles, and Logan.

If they're gonna do the Phoenix saga, they need to do it right! Go all cheesy, 70's Marvel, with the Shi'Ar, those lame space pirate guys (Corsair, Ch'odd. etc.)...Hell, even do the Mojo world with Longshot and Dazzler! Really tacky, goof-ball X-Men...and then play it totally straight. I'd laugh for a long while. Or maybe not.

The first films was Mutant vs. Mutant. The second film was mutant vs. human. THe next one should be mutant and humans vs. evil mutants.

I think Apocalypse is the ultimate bad guy. Magneto and Xavier should go up against him. There could be three plot lines running. Cyclops, Wolverine and Storm could deal with Jean. The younger mutants could have there own mission involving new mutants Gambit and Beast.

Juggernaut would be a cool villain for the next one, and I wish shadowcat would stop changing age.

Gambit's got to be in it (even if he's a mildly naughty anti hero) and so has betsy braddock.

The beast would be a good addition and it's a pity they haven't got time to introduce bishop as well.

I'd like to see Cyclops used much better. Considering that Jean Grey will become such a major character in the next movie (or so we may assume) it would be a good chance to show Cyclops in a much better light. He's pretty much the leader of the X-Men in the comics but the storyline in the movies hasn't let his character be implemented very well. I'd like to see him really flex his muscles in X3.

They were planning to use Angel in the last two movies but on both occasions cut him before the scripts got finalized. I'd like to see them finally make good with the character in the next one.

A whole load of Sentinels wouldn't go amiss either.

What I wouldn't like to see is anything involving the Shi'ar. They look tacky enough in the comics and the cartoon, they would suck utterly if they where in a live action movie.

The biggest problem with Cyclops in the films is his age. He looks younger than Jean and not the great leader he is in the comics. I think he really needs more work in III. He needs to take charge in the next one even at the expense of Wolverine. The problem is that in a comic or tv show, you can do this. In a film there is a limited time to appeal to everyone so the most popular characters get screentime. Would you believe my girlfriend and friends didn't know Cyclops was supposed to be their leader? Bad storytelling from Singer so far.

^Well, it's hard to act like a leader when you have to wear shades the entire time.

X-Men 3 needs to have a strong villain - something that was lacking in II.

On the audio-commentary BS said that Rogue and Iceman "graduated" to the team of X men at the end of the movie. That's why they had their uniform.
I think the movie will be about Phoenix, but it won't go into space. BS wants to keep the X men movies "realistic".

BS's personal favorites are Angel, Beast and Gambit, and I hope they will all be there. I can imagine an openingscene with Angel rescuing the childeren from the orphanige, and ending up at the X mansion.
What I also would like to see is a great fight between Iceman and Pyro. I loved them in X2!

BS also said that Gambit would get in a love triangle with Iceman and Rogue.
Halle Barry will only be back if her role is to be expanded. I personally wouldn't mind her absence.

X3 should be the last X men movie IMO.
Wolvenrine's part should be smaller, and his story should end. The movie will probably will be about Phoenix, so I hope Cyclops' part will be much bigger, he is a very underused character, IMO.

I don' think there has to be a last film so long as they keep the stories and characters interesting. A Superman movie, for instance, will run out of steam as it relies on one character with the same powers everytime. His villains are never a match so there isn't anywhere to go to make many films interesting.

Batman has an assortment of villains so they can do heaps of those. However, what killed that franchise was lack of respect for material rather than it getting old. X-Men is made up of countless characters. So long as they evolve them and stop making the films about Wolverine, we could potentially have six or seven great films. The only reason it can't work is because Singer and the cast will never do that many. The only reason to kill the series off is if they can't keep up the quality. Otherwise, there could be many more films.

I agree Storm could be sacrificed. I don't think her character has much to do and not very much to develop.

The next movie must must must must MUST add Colossus to the roster, and it would be incredibly awesome to see Beast, too. It seems like Gambit's definatley going to be in it, and there is only one choice for the role.

lets face it, the cast is getting too old to pull off a fourth movie

eh? Maybe Ian McKellan and Patrick Stewart, but the rest of the cast is 35 or under, most barely in their 20s ....
