X-Wing Alliance graphic problem - Not just the bad fonts, bad everything..

Hi guys, i have a problem with XWA, when i set it on hardware mode, the game graphics goes wrong completely, as you can see on screen down below. In options i dont have my graphic card listed, just "primary display driver". I have GF 8500 GT, i read some posts here and if i am not mistaken, the ppl with better cards run the XWA smoothly without problems. I have latest drivers of course, directx updated, XWA is patched on 2.02, i tried also the font repair kit, no difference, have anyone atleast a clue what problem this could be?
