X3: The Last Stand - HTR Spoilers

Hey, good news for all you X-Men fans. James Marden (Cyclops) has stated that he thinks everyone will be coming back except for one person, and that person is not Famke Janssen. That means it's most likely Halle Berry. Can you say "Hip hip hooray!!"?!

Oh yeah, and I'v ebeen reading news that they are going to start shooting early in 2005 and X3 is set to open in May of 2006, how exciting

Hopefulle Halle Berry will come back, even though some people don't like her, she is the perfect Storm, liek Famke Janssen is the perfect Jean Grey, Hugh Jackman is the perfect Wolverine, James Marsden is the perfect Cyclops, Anna Paquin the perfect Rogue, and everyone else is perfect!

Anna Paqiuin is the perfet Rogue? Granted, she's perfect for the role she plays in the movies, but that's certainly not the Rogue from the comics.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Halle Berry recently confirmed in a British paper that she HAS signed on to do X3... unfortunately the person who is looking to leave the next film is Hugh Jackman!!!!

I hope to god this is wrong, as hugh plays the perfect Wolverine, and I can't see anyone replacing him.

And I agree with Em, my friends, my sister, my dad, my sisters boyfriend and all of the people I know say that the cast is perfect

My mom is the only one who doesn't know what is happening, she really doesn't like X-Men

I hope it's not Jackman. That'd suck..or maybe they'll just have the character absent from this movie, and he'll be back for 4. (Which is a forgone conclusion, IMO anyway..)

 

JediAJ, Idon't know where you got that info, but it is COMPLETELY false. Hugh Jackman has talked enthusiastically about how much he would love to return for X3.

 

Lol I'm prety sure it's not going to he Hugh, maybe it's going to be Aaron or someone else besides Hugh or Halle!

I'll bet Aaron's coming back. But since JediAJ's report was so false, it probabyl will be Halle. Thank goodness!

ani Dla, have you ever read a comic with Storm in it? If so, I doubt you could even bear to look at Halle Berry.

And yes I have read the comics, not all of them but some, and I think she is a good Storm, but that is just me

 

Storm is literally supposed to act like a goddess. In the first issue she was introduced in, she thought she WAS a goddess. The storm in the movie has no confidence, is violent (Storm is supposed to be all peace loving), and is all around pretty awful!


Some of those problems are just the script though.

 

You should read more. If there was ever an "actor" who fit a role worse, it is Halle Berry as Storm.

 

Storm is supposed to be a 60 year old African woman. Halle is not that.

 

So who would you have had play Storm, Mr. Casting Director?

 

I agree with Slimy here. Halle Berry is a good actress(sometimes) but she was miscast as storm.

Also, did anybody else find the Storm/Nightcrawler dialouge in X2 sickening? I don't remember that happening in the comics. Maybe it's just me.

I dislike how they have Rouge, Iceman, etc. as kids. Weren't they the same age as the rest of them?

If Jackman doesn't return, I'd be indifferent. I don't think anybody can do Wolverine as good as he can, but I don't like how both movies focus more on him than the other characters. It'd be good to get some focus on some other characters. I think that X3 will probably focus on Jean/Cyclops anyways.

Just a few thoughts

 

Just from a physical standpoint, Storm is supposed to be from Africa. As in raised in the jungle/grasslands in a tribe. Therefore, she should have an accent, and her skin color should be significantly darker than Halle Berry's. Just from a character background point of view, Halle Berry's casting just didn't make sense.

 

So who would you have had play Storm, Mr. Casting Director?

That's easy. Vanessa L. williams. If that sounds awkward to you, go to your local vidios store, and, if they have it, rent 'The Odyssey' with Armand Assanti. Her performance in that just screams Storm.

..yeah, Halle Berry is a prettty horrid pick for "Storm"..

She just doesn't have the elegance that an African Goddess would possess..



She sure wouldn't be missed if she wasn't coming back!
