    Ancient egyptians thought those who married their siblings highly fortunate. Despite the fact that they held dung beetles in great reverence*, I have to say I'm not convinced. I wouldn't judge anything that happens between consenting adults but, personally, I would not do a close relative.

    * because dung beetles crawl out of the sand from buried balls of faecal matter once they reach their adult stage, the Egyptians thought that they self-generated and used this belief to solve the first cause problem in a creation myth.
