PT Yellow saber user in Episode 2?

I have a distinct memory of there being a Jedi during the arena scene on Geonosis that uses a yellow lightsaber, but when I rewatched AOTC on Blu-Ray, I didn't see one. The last time I watched episode 2 was on VHS many, many years ago and before that, in theaters. Did I just imagine there being a yellow lightsaber or did it get edited out of the Blu-Ray edition?

I'm not a particular fan of yellow, but I seem to remember thinking that it was really cool that for the first time we got to see a color other than red, blue, green, and purple.

 

Never saw it. There are lots of green ones that almost pass in still images, but nothing definitive.

 

It seems you're right. I've been doing google searches as well to figure it out and, interestingly, many others have thought the same thing as myself, but it seems that George had intended to add them, but because of the color of Geonosis, decided against it because there wouldn't be enough contrast to make them stand out.

Maybe in some deep desire to see other colors in the movies my sub-conscience changed one of the colors to yellow. I also kind of remember orange popping up, but I should take the "kind of" to mean that I'm just imagining things. And just to add, I remember the different colors in the background when all the Jedi in the stands of the arena are activating their sabers.

And they looked frigigin awesome!

 

I had that when I was a young kid. It had the annoying feature that because it was a bag of air it bent at the base too much. Ok for safety, bad for making it feel like a swinging lightsaber. Notice too the packaging has Luke and Ben with yellow, and Vader has a purple.

It is my understanding that yellow was just a Kenner thing. They did it to have options.

 

Notice also that the picture of Luke is badly photoshopped–his blaster was removed and a lightsaber inserted. At least use an image where Luke actually held a saber!

 

I've come to the conclusion that I'm absolutely crazy.

But I loved these guards! They're total BA**s.

 

Practice with a remote, just like Luke did in Star Wars. You can use a balloon. Not incuded. = AWE~Some childhood.

I saw Star Wars at the drive-in.

 

the guards look good, but those staffs look a bit impractical

as for yellow light sabers in AOTC,
don't remember seeing any

Actually, the masks do, too. I mean, why are Jedi wearing masks, anyway? Cloned Jedi, perhaps?

Too bad the show got cancelled, because maybe that's what they were going for.

Well, at least sombody is using yellow lightsabers.

 

I saw them in Episode II as well.







Except the TV I saw it on was damaged and displayed colors improperly.

 

I think it would most likely have been orange but I haven't watched Epiosde II in a while

There was no yellow. I think that in the films they tried to stick with the basic green, blue and red with Mace Windu having a really rare, different colour (purple/violet)
