...i know that there are about two other padawan braid topics, but i decided not to bump them up and post in them. So instead i decided to create my first topic. (Isn't that special?)
Anyway As the title says i am growing a padawan braid, but i usually have short hair. My hair is slowly getting longer so once its about shoulder length *shudder* <--(at the shoulder length) i will plat the part of my hair needed for the padawan braid, and the ponytail. Head to the hairdresser get them to cut my hair like i usually do but leaving the padawan braid and ponytail and then i will keep trimming it so that it stays shoulder lenght! (The braid NOT my hair.)

    A sound plan yes? No?

I also have afew questions about it, i dont know if i will get refered to the other topic but i will give this a shot. And now questions.

*My hair grows pretty fast at the moment its about an inch or so long, how long (estimated ofcourse) would it take to grow my hair up to my shoulder?

*How do i look after it? Keep it tidy?

*How often would i have to take it out and re-plat it?

I think thats about it. I appreciate your answers i spose. Oh and incase your wondering This is what i look like with my normal haircut...

S_S edit: one thread on the padawan braid will do fine. Please feel free to repost your question in the existing thread. Thanks! :)

Sound? I believe that to be subjective. I say "Yes", though.
In *general* I have heard (from my friend who cuts it for a living) that hair grows at an approximate rate of a half inch per month. Results may vary of course.
I think that like any braided hair, you would want to un-braid it, comb/brush it and then re-braid it every week or so.
See my above answer. I used to have one braid near the front of my head - it was dyed green while the rest of my hair was purple. I didn't really want it to "dread up," but I left it alone, so it eventually did. Taking care of it means washing it with a gentle shampoo too.

This is a good idea, and I'd love to see pics of it when it's done (a very long time). I'm with you about yukky shoulder length hair for men, but the result of all that waiting and long hair will pay off as you'll look fangtastic and you'd always have a starting point in any conversation (think of the laydees who'll want to touch it:cool:). Are you going to have the little ponytail that padawans have as well?

So...how does underwear taste?;) Hope it's not used...[face_sick]
