It's true, MR has appearantly announced that for the 2007 year they are manufacturing a Yoda Force FX Lightsaber prop. Along with that they are also introducing a new line of their famous lightsabers, called the FXQ's. Q is for quality, and these certainly have it. They are the same size as the LE's, and have finer detail than the original FX's. There's even talk that they might have removeable blades! If anyone has anymore info on this, please share!

True, the yoda has been on presale for a few days...

The Q stuff... nope! Nothing has been stated on them since the toy fair posters. Upon prodding Amy of MR said they would probably not get made. Everything you say is just RUMORS. In the e-mail MR sent their list of 2007 stuff only included the Yoda for the fx line.

*Snaps fingers* Darn. Oh well, couldn't have afforded them anyways. But the Yoda would be cool, just as a novelty.

thanks, all i found was that its 33 inches total long. but i was interested in the hilt size itself. im guessing they will make it close to the actual size and not balooned up version like a hasbro or anything like that.

would be interesting to see if TCSS can make a blade holder for a led lux convert on that sucker.

I imagine the hilt will be just big enough to get one hand around it.

i have a flash that is, by what i found dimension wise, on the blueprint place, the sith archives, thats the same size as the praco flash. i did some makin of the mid band and a sculpey of a oil pan out of jb weld. its not exact as i dont have a couple things on it but i inserted a green acrylic blade i got from romansempireproductions.

i think it looks pretty nice in the end:

How long is it all together? 33 in.? If so, how long is just the hilt itself?

go here and it shows the aotc and tpm versions:

    http://www.sitharchives.com/

my hilt flash i found was the same size as this. i made the blade in relation to the blade lengths on regular sized hilts. most folk use a 36 inch blade in the el and led lux sabers. so measuring the hilt lengths on sabers using 36 blades i calculated how long yodas possibly would be. i made the solid acrylic blade stick out as far as i thought it would be for the size hilt it is.

probably not in no way accurate in length, but it looks good to me.

now MR's yoda coming out says its 33 inches total length. i think mines close to that.

It should be very easy to make a small hilt for an MR "LED array" style saber--with most of the electronics in the blade, the hilt can be smaller.

After all, I was able to convert an MR light/sound board into a 9" hilt yet have it be a Luxeon conversion, so I don't see why they can't make an 8" hilt and do a "skinny" LED blade for a Yoda style saber.

I still think the Triad Luxeon idea will blow many sabers off of the map... only question is battery life... 3 Luxeons take an awful lot of juice! :)

I realize the Yoda saber is 33" total, but I want to know just how long the hilt is. 8"?

MR has posted on other message boards that the Yoda FX is NOT as small as the saber in the movie. The measurements on Sith Archives are not the same.

(I have seen pics of the Yoda FX next to another FX-saber, but I can't find them on the web right now, sorry.)

    First post :)

I've seen at play.com that you can preorder this lightsaber. However, it also says that they are exclusive to play.com in the UK.

Am I reading that wrong? Wouldn't it be a really bad move to have one online retailer selling all the yoda lightsabers to the UK? They word it as "Exclusively available in the UK from PLAY.COM !"

I reckon I'm grasping the wrong end of the stick here

I think it's a wonderfully machined lightsaber. Out of all the ones they've made, Maul is perhaps the best as far as looks IMO. Yoda doesn't look bad, either.
