    [face_thinking]

Something quite disturbing just occured to me.
If Frank Oz has passed away... when did he leave us? Was he here with us to contribute to Ep3?
Yoda plays a strong role in ep3.. a very important story of how he ends up on Dagobah will be told.. and I am hoping hoping hoping that he did speak Yodas last lines ever before leaving us.

    Does anyone know?

....I know my worst nightmare for the 20yrs Ive waited for ep3 to happen.. was that James earl Jones would leave us before he could speak Vaders first words. He has stayed with us and he will be in the movie... But will Mr. Oz be the voice of YODA?
And what if he is not? Will it be a computerized
simulation? Or someone else? Hmmmm... that would not be good I dont think.

Does anyone have any info on this (non-spoiler)?

What are you talking about? Frank Oz was in London last week for the scoring sessions, and spent this weekend recording loop lines.

    ...when did he leave us?

Erm, he never did. Why did you think otherwise?

Star Wars fans can be extremely morbid. Remember the panic that ensued several years ago when it was rumored that Christopher Lee was getting sick. There were a countless number of "What will happen in Episode III if Christopher Lee dies?" threads.

You might be thinking of Jim Henson, who passed away a long time ago. Him and Frank Oz were the big muppet pioneers back in the day.

I didn't hear ANYWHERE that Frank OZ died- and you KNOW if he did - there'd be HUGE RUMBLINGS in ALL STAR WARS sites!!!!!

That would NOT be something left only to emerging rumors.

If he (or ANY of the characters, for that matter) died, we would KNOW!!!!!

Not to get off topic, but has Frank Oz directed anything since 'The Score'? That was a really good movie with a lot of Hollywood heavyweights. I think it was Marlon Brando's last flick that he appeared in, wasn't it?

Yeah, we have sort of killed this thread... dead.

Oz directed last years' The Stepford Wives. It was so-so.

It was less than so-so, in my opinion. The plot wasn't even consistant. Where they robots or were they being controlled by a central computer? The movie would have you believe it was both, in a situation where only one or the other would make sense.

At least Christopher Walken was in it. He makes me laugh in anything.

Sam Jackson is the hardest working man in show business. He has appeared in more American movies than any other contemporary actor!

I've actually heard that Carrie Fisher is still the current highest grossing actress. You seem to know a lot about that sort of thing. Is that true?

you know to be honest, im not sure about that. it certainly wouldnt suprise me. what i do know is that julia roberts is the highest PAID actress in history. and hey, while im dropping useless facts i might as well mention that the three highest paid entertainers (ie. directors, actors, writers, etc) in hollywood are george lucas, steven spielberg and *ugh* oprah.

I think that Oprah is a nice lady. She gives a heck of a lot of money to charity and does a lot of really nice things for poeple, so she is more than okay in my book. :)

    We're a little off-topic, aren't we? ;)

ok ok, perhaps i pushed it a little too far off topic. i must have gone mad with power. ;)

although i should point out that frank oz isnt dead, so this thread doesn't really have a topic.
