Yoda vs Palpatine

Anyone out there think that the Yoda battle was just a taste of the ultimate battle of to be showcased in E3........Yoda vs Palpatine!!!!

I know there are good story reasons for us not to see this. I would like to see some sort of struggle between them, though. Yoda has to be hiding on Dagobah for one reason or another.

 

That would suck so bad it would be beyond words. I'm one of the few that disliked the Yoda/Dooku in AOTC. To see Palpatine brought down to that kung-fu fanboy action level would be a shame.

 

Having Palpatine actually physically fight is like having Bond's Blofeld unmasked (although to a greater degree)... It seems like a cool idea, but it'd take the mystique out of the baddie. I kinda like Palpy the way he is... consumate in manipulation and subterfuge.

 

I'm not sure if they'll fight because you cant really have a winner & a loser. Both guys survive. Thats what was so frustrating about Yodas fight with Dooku. It didnt really end. Now I think somebody else will take out Dooku in 3, so we may not get to see Yoda fight again.
Thats actually ok with me, because it was one of those things I always wanted to see, and now I have, and it was cool, so thats good enough. Especially seeing him fight to two draws. That would suck. It would just be a repeat of his lighning throwing match with Dooku. Palpy doesnt use a lightsaber (from what I understand).

Yoda & Ben vs. Vader & Sidious would have been a logical end to the overall conflict IMO, but I'm guessing the Jedi didnt want to risk it.

So I dont really think we'll see Yoda vs. Palpatine.

While I didn't exactly dislike the Yoda and Dooku fight, I wasn't the biggest fan of it either. I wouldn't mind, however, if Palpatine performed some type of hostile act (hopefully against Padme) like he did in Return of the Jedi, but I would be personally be upset if Palpatine actually initiated in an all-out fight, no matter how cool it looks or whatever.

 

CoK would also rather not see a physical confrontation per say.....but some sort of mental force struggle could be awesome and further define the two characters.

 

I want to see this. We need to see why Dooku isn't able to overthrow Palpatine, why Yoda fears him, why Anakin thinks the dark side is stronger, and why it is the true nature of the Force, and why he is afraid of Palpatine.


One small confrontation in front of Anakin would answer all of these.
