Yoda's hair became grey when he was 300 years old.

Well, that is what George Lucas jokingly said in one of the Attack of the Clones DVD documentaries!

However, does this become canon?

Should I include this in Timetales?!

After all, it did come out of the mouth of the great one himself!

Thoughts?!

"596 years BBY - Yoda's hair starts to become grey."

We try to be as complete as possible!

From the minute to the major, all is included!

 

I found this odd section in Timetales, where some 10,000 years later from current SW years, some Death Star remnant is found on Earth, where someone gets an idea to reproduce it digitally . . .

It's Star Wars, it's kooky, so why not?

That last section of Timetales is just a bit of fun, trying to tie it into the real world, where George Lucas 'discovers' the saga of Star Wars.

Clearly this needs to be covered in Ep3 or in future novels. Such an important issue cannot be covered in such a half-baked manor. We need answers to the following questions or the saga will feal incomplete.

1. What is Yoda's natural hair colour?
2. Has Yoda ever bleached his hair?
3. Does Yoda suffer from dandruff?
4. What shampoo does yoda use?

Everyone knows she dyes it, and we all love it. Plus it makes her feel like a sexy Jedi Master, and we know there's nothing better than that.

 

If Yaddle's got a full head of hair, then I wonder what hair style Yoda had? I'm assuming he had a bit more back then...

Do you think he might have had a mullet? Or did those only come into fashion in obi-wans's time?

Lucas neither owns miss piggy nor kermit the frog, jim henson productions does. So yoda can't be related to them because if they were, Lucas would be breaking copyright laws.

Also as someone else pointed out in another thread, kermit is too young(something like 50 years old in the present era) to be yoda's father who was 900 years old a long long time ago in a galaxy far far away.

Maybe, yoda had genes that made him go grey early. I know of people that got grey hair at 18. Perhaps, yoda was in some kind of crisis that made him go grey early.

Maybe Yoda dyed his hair grey in order to achieve that wise old Jedi Master look.

 

It doesn't matter. Until it's referenced in a film or the EU, it's just fanfic, regardless of who said it. If GL decides to put in a throwaway line in Episode III about when Yoda's hair started to go gray, so be it. Until then, it falls under the fanfic category, or at best "speculation based on. . ." When a creator comments on his own work -- that's all it is: a comment, and interpretation. If he doesn't include that commentary within the work itself, then it's not part of it.

Lucas also said that boba fett died in the sarlacc, and the last of the sith were destroyed in ROTJ.

I guess we have to believe that too, .

Things that break copyright laws, can't be canon at all, but merely fanfic because of law.

I'm glad that someone has been able to answer these important questions. Yoda's charachter feels far more complete now.
