What kind of videogame would you make if you had a game development team to adhere to you every whim?

My game would be called Movie. You could choose from playing three or more different types of movie; A sci-Fi/Fantasy, an action packed Cop Chase movie, and a third (as yet unknown) movie... maybe a western?. Each would have shooting action, driving/flying/riding action, and multiple storylines that the player gets to choose.

Now, here's the real selling point; The game would incorporate the film/replay editor from the Driver series of games so that you could actually make your own movies using the gameplay footage. It'd be even better if you actually got to script dialogue yourself in the game and the replay value would be amazing.

    Patent Pending

There's a new game coming out called 'the movies' from the creator of the Sims that has at least the edit-your-movie feature.

Apparantly you have to deal with almost every aspect of movie making including all the politics (like puting up with demanding actors and producers).

Yeah, I've seen that one. My idea isn't a sim as much as an action game with a cool edit function. I just got my copy of Driver 3 on XBox (thank you Ebay) and it has a really awesome and simple to use chase movie maker. The idea originally came to me back when the first Driver game came out on PS1 with a similar function.

I believe it's heading that way, Neech. Movies and video games are slowly but surely merging. And with it is our (the consumer) eventual creative control of the process. Soon we will be able to make and edit our own Star Wars according to our preferences, or start a movie from scratch.

I read a few bad reviews about it too and can't figure them out. The driving and editing function is fantastic. The damage is realistic and the pedestrians, while quite wily are still about to be bounced off the hood of your car. The out of car aspect is by far the weakest part of the game but not enough to make it not fun.
