Dragonjedi! Empire is number SEVEN?!! And Superman 4 beats A New Hope? You're breaking my heart....

Anyway... I don't want to strain myself so much as to actually rank all these flicks, but I do love 'em all and feel that they're very important works of cinematographic art:

    -The SW Saga (ya' think??)
    -Dune
    -Fight Club
    -LOTR (all of 'em, anticipatorily)
    -Run Lola Run
    -The Matrix
    -The Indy Jones Trilogy
-Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
    -A Clockwork Orange
    -Taxi Driver
    -Citizen Kane (respect Ben's #1)
    -The Dark Crystal
    -Metropolis
    -The Seven Samurai
    -Willow
    -Deliverance
    -Midnight Cowboy
-Reefer Madness (this piece of 1930's propaganda is so hilarious today)
    -Clerks
    -Magnolia
-Ferris Bueller's Day Off (John Hughes is a genious)
    -Pi
    -Scent of a Woman
    -Moulin Rouge
    -Gladiator
    -Fast Times at Ridgemont High
    -The French Connection
-Meeting People is Easy (an exquisitely-assembled Radiohead documentary)
-2001: A Space Odyssey (cinematographic art; a symphony with motion)
    -Easy Rider
    -Pulp Fiction
    -Close Encounters
    -American Beauty
    -Waiting For Guffman
    -THX-1138 (you're not a true hardcore-SW-fan 'till you've seen it)
    -TMNT
-Life As A House (Hayden is more than a whiny Padawan; he's a whiny teenager, too...) :)
    -A Beautiful Mind
    -Pollock
    -Casablanca
    -Alien
    -Aliens
    -Cool Hand Luke
    -The Great Escape
    -The Sting
-The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
    -Sling Blade
    -Corvette Summer (I'm totally kidding....)

.....Okay, I'm sure that I could go on and on and on..... but I'm getting tired...

    These will suffice....

:D YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You go Girl.

Now I love the Superman movies but I don't put them in my top 20 because of the Chain smoking Ugly Lois. What were they thinking with that anyway?

However I would just like to take this time to say

    SUPERMAN ROCKS!

So back off her Zak or I will have to open up a Sith lord size can of Whoop Tushy on you.

    Superman sucks. :)

I was shocked to not see a single Hitchcock movie, and only one movie made prior to 1960. A lot of great movies were made in the golden ages. Go find AFI's top 100 movie lists and rent some of the movies on there. You will be amzed at some of the fantastic pieces of art that are slowly being forgotten in today's world of "give it to my fast and loud and flashy".

Now - I did read through your lists fast. If I missed a Hitchcock reference or anything else, forgive me.

    Here is my top 10:

    10. Jaws
    9. Back To The Future
    8. Pulp Fiction (No film made has better dialogue)
    7. Indiana Jones and the Temple Of Doom
    6. ALIENS
    5. The Abyss (My favorite movie from my favorite director James Cameron)
    4. Raiders Of The Lost Ark
    3. A New Hope
    2. The Empire Strikes Back
    1. Witness (Harrison Ford's best film and performance. Also the only film he was ever Oscar Nominated for)

Other movies that I've LOVED in no particular order:

The other Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Back to the Future films not on my Top 10
The Untouchables (Best performance by Sean Connery in any film. He deserved that Oscar :) )
    Supeman I & II
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (I'm a big Star Trek fan, but these are the only two films that I liked. The rest were disappointments to me)
    Casablanca
    Boogie Nights
Magnolia (You better look out Mr. Cameron, because Paul Thomas Anderson (PTA) is catching up to you)
    Titanic
The Mosquito Coast (Depending on what day you catch me, I may say THIS is Harrison Ford's best performance. In my opinion, his acting was never the same after this film. The Academy was blind to have overlooked it. A real shame this film isn't more appreciated.)
Minority Report (Just came out this summer, and it's a great, great movie)
    True Lies
    Predator
Chasing Amy (Kevin Smith's best film)
North By Northwest (My favorite Hitchcock film)
    Terminator and T2
Close Encounters of the Third Kind
The Godfather I & II (I'm surprised I haven't seen these films on anyone's list)
    When Harry Met Sally
The Sure Thing (Terrific road trip movie, and my favorite John Cusack movie)
Planes, Trains and Automobiles (My favorite John Hughes movie)
    The Breakfast Club
    Some Kind Of Wonderful
    Ferris Bueller's Day Off
    Citizen Kane
Gunga Din (There is no Indiana Jones without this movie)
    Lawrence of Arabia
    Psycho
    The Birds
    Forrest Gump
Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring
    True Romance
    Used Cars
Caddyshack (Another film I'm suprised I haven't seen on anyone's list)
    Stripes
    Ghostbusters
    Reservoir Dogs
The Shawshank Redemption (I can watch this movie over and over again)
My favorite Bond movies: You Only Live Twice, Goldfinger and The Spy Who Loved Me (Sean Connery was THE best Bond. PERIOD!! :) )
    Shindler's List
    Brave Heart
    The Matrix
    Die Hard
    Lethal Weapon
    Romancing The Stone

I have no doubt I could go on, but that should give you a fairly good idea what I like.

Just to respond to JediJeff's comment.

Part of the problem is how I look at what I call my "favorite" movies.

Now something like Casablanca may be a "better" movie than Blade but personally I would much rather watch Wesley Snipes slicing up Vampires than to see Boggie talk to a piano Player. IMHO
