Zam Wessel's Last Dying Words

Does anybody know what Zam says before she dies? It sounds to me like she says Sly Moore who is a personal aide to Palpatine. Could Palpatine been involded in the assassination of Padme? Hmmm, maybe we will find out in Episode III.

 

Neither the script nor the subtitles help. I think she says, "Slimo" (sp?), a Huttese vulgarity that we heard Sebulba use in TPM.

 

On the Official Site, Ben Burtt answered with:

"Zam speaks Huttese at this point and the word "Slimeball" is indeed correct."

And if I remember correctly, I believe I was watching the online commentary and it said Zam spoke: "Bounty hunter scum."

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I suppose she was speaking of Jango.

 

I think it sounds along the lines of "He shot me, slimo."

 

Why would it be bounty hunter scum when Zam was a bounty huntress herself... ?

It's not very long, so you can just read it quickly. It has everything in it that I could contribute to this thread, plus some others' opinions.

 

According to AOTC DVD Text commentary:

Zam says "Murishani Sleemo" which means "Bounty Hunter Slimeball".

 

Spot on.

 

So, why did Zam say "bounty hunter slimeball" when she herself is a bounty hunter? I always thought she was calling the jedi "slimo's." I guess not.

 

She wasn't saying that all bounty hunters were slimeballs, just the one who had shot her with the toxic dart.

And since Zam's profession is never specified in the film, it's entirely possible that she is simply an assassin for hire which is different from a bounty hunter, so she might have no reservations against insulting bounty hunters.

She's just referring to Jango.
