So I'm gonna try and bang out some commercials for the Saga Awards. Once I got some written would one or more of you check it out to see if they're actually fun?

 

Of course, Irisheyes! I've done two commercials: one for Spaceballs II, and one advertising lightsabers, with Aragorn, Obi-Wan, and Jack Sparrow. Send me your commercial!

OK - Here's a commercial . . . tell me what you think



Fade Up: On shines bottles of Shampoos and Conditioners all saying Royal Hair Care.

VO: It?s time to treat your self like Royalty.

Dissolve: To a woman, with her back to use, shampooing her hair.

VO: Now for the first time, the Galaxy?s most glamour?s Royals have come together to share their secrets.

The Woman turns to reveal herself. It?s Princess Leia.

Leia: Lather up with Leia and you?ll feel like a Princess.

Dissolve: To different types of Shampoo

VO: For the Smuggler or Jedi in your family try Smugglers Shampoo and Jedi?s Surprise Conditioner.

 

THE AFI TRIBUTE!

Ok here's another one . . . is it obvious I'm bord and I don't want to do any work



[Smash Cut] On a bottle called Quaker Space.

VO: Not getting enough performance from your Hyperdrive.

Cut to: A hyperdrive engine slowly trying to work

VO: Feeling like your ships getting out performed by even the most simple of models

Cut to: Smaller ships passing a bigger ship in hyperspace.

VO: Then try Quaker Space. Official Sponsor of the Millennium Falcon.

Cut to: Han walking towards the camera holding a bottle of Quaker Space with the Falcon behind him

Han: I wouldn?t have been able to make the Kessel Run in twelve parseks if it weren?t for Quaker Space.

Cut to: Bottle of Quaker Space.

VO: Quaker Space ? smuggler tested. Government approved.

Hey, Darth Ish! How'd you get to be a VIP? I'm dying to beat the OPPM.

 

Hey Ish, I was bord and reading other threads and I noticed in the Olbie thread you guys were talking about HP. You should post your story on HarryPotterFanfiction.com. I just finished my story there (took a year). Lot of fun, there is alot out there but I noticed people are always looking for real thought out stories which I find a lot more here then there.

I'm posting my commercials here because some peeps agreed to look at them and let me know if they're good enough to send in.

[EDIT] Jedi - What did you think of the second one?

 

The second commercial was hilarious! Definitely send it.

The first one was great as well!

[Captain Jack Sparrow, Aragorn, and Obi-Wan Kenobi enter a large, circular room.]

[Jack Sparrow takes out his sword, briefly salutes the others, and raises his weapon in front of him.]

[Aragorn grins solemnly and unsheathes Anduril. He holds up his sword and slides it alongside Jack?s. The blades of both swords are touching each other (Similar to Jack and Will in POTC). The two combatants look at Obi-Wan expectantly.]

[Obi-Wan walks over to them and activates his lightsaber. He places the blade right above the blades of Jack and Aragorn?s swords. The lightsaber heats the blades of the other swords, and the blades of Jack and Aragorn?s weapons melt and fuse together. Jack and Aragorn?s swords are now stuck together. Jack and Aragorn look at Obi-Wan in bewilderment.]

[Grinning, Obi-Wan?s lightsaber flashes twice, too fast for the camera to follow. Next thing we know, Aragorn and Jack are lying on the ground. Obi-Wan deactivates his weapon and faces the camera, beaming and giving the thumbs up. We hear a man?s voice, off camera.]

VO: The lightsaber. When other weapons just don?t cut it, the lightsaber will. Now available wherever Jedi supplies are sold.

 

As I said in the Fort, That's flippin' hilarious.

Now to execute OPPM.

 

Thanks. I need to go, but kill OPPM for me.

 

I've been meaning to say this for some time now:

OPPM is not a monster to be battled. It is a friend who cares enough to tell you you're doing something wrong. Before you hit the Post Reply button, take ten seconds to check for typos. Use the Preview button to make sure you have the markups right. Ask yourself this question: Would I say this to someone's face?

When you do, you will find OPPM to be a thing of the past.
