    I can't say no to a woman in an Imperial Officer's uniform ( [face_love] ), but she doesn't look that hot :p

Seriously, I hope they don't use the word bubbles on this one. It would just break the feel methinks.

    I must apologise . . .

I haven't been following Rebellion, disinterested by Empire's immortal movie mutts, lacklustre storylines and disparate silly story arcs. I was aware Rebellion's reorganisation sharpened the focus and repainted the Hutt.

And having looked up some Ahakista preview pages, I'm beginning to realise just how much fresher his breath is. New faces, exotic new aliens, new intrigue, better dialogue, decent art. Ongoing storylines spiderwebbed with surprises and blasted endings for once aren't naked. The mind tampering by a hideous looking alien is a fantastic kitty that knocks the Juggernaut down.

All right, you've sold me. I can see myself getting this Ahakista Gambit TPB. [face_batting]

I suppose anything with the title "Rebellion" would scare you off, wouldn't it, Admiral?

I'll take that as a yes, your majesty*

*It's hard to convey in text alone, but that was totally meant to be that mocking tone of voice Han uses in reference to Leia, or to anyone in EaW.

My regard for dear old Darca just shot up through the roof. It's nice to see some serious bad-assery in Rebellion apart from Tank.

Wow, that looks just great. The art is really getting good. Gripping. Clearly there's a bit more to Wyl than we've yet learned.

That last page of Dunlan staring at the Imps blastin' Ahakista is pretty sweet.

It's been a pretty decent arc so far. I like the eclectic assortment of characters thus far. Wyl Tarson is pretty interesting. The "Guilty" look he gets on his face when anyone at all mentions "His Rebellion" makes me wonder.

The art has been pretty good but Bex is virtually unrecognizable. I didn't draw the connection until Boshek was mentioned. She was a pretty toned and tough looking woman. Now she looks like the frightened teenage winner of "Who wants to be an Imperial Officer."

    Final cover is up.

I'm in favor of the use of dialogue bubbles on covers and I've liked the covers that we've had so far in this arc (and I'd like to see Sook and Ross do some more), but this one just doesn't appeal to me for some reason. Maybe it'll grow on me.

    Is that Darca?
