Sneeve is in the Mid Rim.

UAA is a cool book, but chock-full of geographical goofs that unfortunately keep getting repeated.

some sources place Zeltros in Wild Space, some in Inner Rim. Is it possible it could be both? Wild Space is discontinous space outside the Republic, right? Was Zeltros ever part of the Republic per se? IOf not, could Zeltron Space (a Marvel term, which may = Zeltros system or a broader area) be a pocket of Wild Space in the midst of the Inner Rim?

Could be, but the number of mentions of Zeltros over a long period argues against it, at least for me -- I'm inclined to regard that one also as a simple mistake.

I found the following info playing Kotor II the other day:

Derson III and the Iti Cluster Colonies both were destroyed by Hanharr (dialog with Mira)

Praven Prime, a planet with two nations (possibly species): the Gu-vandi Collective and the L?Xing. Both groups went to war with each other due to an HK droid sabotaging diplomatic negotiations between the two groups. (dialog with HK-47)

Qixoni System: mentioned in dialog by Kreia if she is in your party on Onderon. A smuggler named Sakarie offers to sell an ancient Qixoni lightsaber crystal. Kreia mentions then that the ?first Jedi? found them in the dying system, which according to her went supernova ?millennia ago?. If the Qixoni System was found by the 'first Jedi' it may have been located in or near the Deep Core or well within the Core Worlds.

Eres III: A planet with ?Xoxin plains? that were set ablaze by the Mandalorians during the first half of the Mandalorian Wars. The Xoxin Plains continued to burn 10 years later during the game, indicating that the Mandalorians attacked the planet around 3961 BBY (10 years before 3951 BBY). (Mentioned in dialog with Atton)

?The Iotran are a militaristic species from the industrial planet of Iotra on the Outer Rim. Their versatile armor is a favorite among experienced bounty hunters.? (item description of the Itotran Braceman Armor)

Erai System: Item description of Eralam Crystals: ?Once mined on the third moon of Erai, ancient Sith bombardment shattered much that remained.? The only timeframe that ancient (by the time of 3951 BBY) Sith bombardment could have occurred in was either during the Great Hyperspace War. Either that or that the Sith Empire expanded into the Erai System (conquered it) beforehand.

The item description for the Eralam Crystal (identical in both Kotors) indicates that Erai is the correct spelling

"Once mined on the third moon of Erai, ancient Sith bombardment shattered much that remained. If they can be found, these crystals produce a clear, superior lightsaber beam."

Clicking on the link for Erai in the Wookie article for Eralam Crystals instead brings up the article for "Erat", which is apparently a typo.

Here's a good one. Its from an OLD game. Droids: Escape from Aaron.

Aaron could be a planet, or maybe not. There is almost no information on it. Its official, I believe, but its VERY obscure.

I think Jude Watson did say Romin was in the Middle Rim, so this may not be news

However, this may indicate the Romins are just humans from Romin, not a species. I wasn't too clear on that from the books--may need to reread. Of course, there could be both natives and humans. But the stats given include only the languages Basic and Bocce, which would seem to indicate the Romins do not have an original language, whoever they are.

I must say the last two Bounty Postings have been more impressive than the former ones. These characters have more developed, setting-specific, complex backstories, and don't seem so cookiee cutter.

In the 1979 Russ Manning strip Kazhyyyk Depths (the only one that's never been reprinted), Mistress Mnemos mentions "Kalgo Thirteen" as the homeworld of a suspected Imperial spy.

    Happy New Year everybody!

    Some ATLAS/geographic tidbits:

    * Trying to catch up with at least all the published material that will be available when the ATLAS hits bookstores, which means nagging LFL constantly about manuscripts, scripts, etc. In addition to being nice folks, they're incredibly patient with annoying OCD-plagued authors.

    * Changes to the ATLAS that will have to be made because of new material/the TV show/etc. since last changes were made: 2.

    * Number of those new changes that will be a big deal: 0. (Thank the Maker, and knock on wood.)

    * Number of star systems in database as of right now: 4,288.

    * Obscure RPG articles yet to be tracked down to find possible star systems for inclusion in the appendix: 3.

    * Number of duplicate Official Poster Monthlys bought on eBay while not paying close enough attention to details of listings: 3.

    * Answer to question of who the heck the Queen of Ranroon was: Yes ... as drafted.

Some but not all of that material will be included, though its inclusion shouldn't be taken as a statement of canonicity for anything except the geography. And the whole plan is still subject to review.

Here are the two sources I'm missing, if anyone can help:

    Polyhedron 128: "It's Technical, Billy"
    Vortext 3: "Ship of Fools"

(I found a note I trust saying the third source has no EU content, so we're down to two.)

Jason, I have a question about what counts as "geography." For example, consider "The Galaxy Dragon and Crew" from Dragon 200. It mentions the planets Miko and Bormter. I assume those count as geography. But do the inhabitants of those planets count? Also, Bormter is mentioned as the first conquest of Moff Delurin, self-proclaimed Warlord of Wild Space. Does Delurin's mini-empire in wild space count as "geography," especially since the Atlas is supposed to have info on the various warlords and their territories?

Plans are subject to change, so big grain of salt with all this, but basically, those odd cases will just be reflected in the ATLAS appendix. So you'd get sector (I hope), region and coordinates for Bormter and Miko, but not anything else about Delurin and his holdings. (I imagine there were a lot of warlords -- we'll only cover the major ones.)

I do have an idea about where Delurin's holdings were, though, and the map placements should make an approximation possible. That's been one of the fun things about the ATLAS -- sometimes you can suggest a story just by placements....

    Jason,
Another question about the Atlas. Will it include "Renat Chorios," which as far as I know only appears in the publisher's summary on the cover for Planet of Twilight (I know, I know, it's a typo for "Nam Chorios," but it'd be cool to see it included anyway)?

If someone ever did decide to work Renat Chorios in, it'd be easy to place it in the Chorios system (assuming Planet of Twilight doesn't have any text that'd preclude this idea, of course.) It's designation fits with the naming convention of the two known planets in the system, Nam Chorios and Pedducis Chorios.

That, or make it an alternate name for the Chorios System or Nam Chorios.
