    Gamiel The military calls them pouches - with the straps called webbing.

    EDIT In response to the religion Q. There are some alternative Force-myth traditions in the RPG Clone Wars guidebook. Do you want me to go dig it out, or is that not the sort of thing you want?

    Tyia, I had forgotten about them, what I remember of them so could they work. Probably not as a main religion but something that could be existing on many planets.

    If you have the time, yes please. If noting else they can be used for inspiration.

    Had some idea of using the Cosmic Balance and the Dueling academy but we will see. I did go through the religion category on the wook' and I get the feeling that most SW writers are not that interested in religions beside using it for jokes or giving groups/species a reason to why they are the bad guys.

    Hi all. Does anyone happen to know what Carth Onasi's military rank actually is during the events of KOTOR? The Wook is not very clear on the subject, only saying that he became an admiral afterward in or around what IIRC is the KOTOR2 era. Would "lieutenant" be a safe assumption? Thanks, as always. :)

    He doesn't mention it right away, but I think he's a captain. He was in charge of the Ender Spire where Revan first wakes up IIRC. I tried to youtube that first convo over the intercom but no dice.

    Thanks for the links. For what I am looking for the Bando Gora feels a bit to much of a personal cult and openly bad; the Believers are a bit to secretive but the Korunnai is interesting, maybe a colony/-ies or similar originally created by them. I have already two planets that would fit them and it is not like I could make more.

    Also is it just me or was the Legends jedi order really bad at keeping tabs on what happened to their members. Lots of them seems to go dark or die by the hands of people the story want to show as badass without the order seemingly knowing and/or caring.

    I just now played through the Endar Spire section of a fresh game of KOTOR (the Android port, if it matters), and found zero reference to Carth's rank. The first intercom conversation does not mention it, and the only appellation Trask gives to him is "one of the Republic's best pilots".

    From the Star Wars Saga Edition Knights of the Old Republic Campaign Guide (in a non-stat block, so it's Legends canon)

    Perfect! Thanks so much for finding that. :) I originally put in "lieutenant" in the story in question as a sort of placeholder, but I've corrected it now.

    I'm a little confused as to how an initiate progresses if he gets sidelined to the Agri-Corps. As I understand it, all Jedi younglings start at the temple at Coruscant. If a youngling shows promise, he/she will be picked up as an apprentice (padawan) by a master after successfully passing the initiate trials. The student then learns from the master, eventually taking his/her Jedi trials to become a knight.

    So how does that work if you wind up in agri-corps? If you aren't flashy or talented enough to get a master, are you still a padawan if you're reassigned to Agri-Corps? the Wook says:
    "Made up largely of Jedi who had failed to complete their training at the Jedi academy, as well as those Jedi who had not been chosen as an apprentice by the age of thirteen,[2] membership in the AgriCorps was completely voluntary, though assignment to the Corps was handled by the Council of Reassignment. "

    How does one fail to complete their training? You bomb the initiate trials? You can't master the skills you should have? It says that members of the agri-corps could be as young as 6. So what would be a reasonable age to decide that a kid doesn't have what it takes to become a Jedi, even if he is Force sensitive?

    Well in the Jedi padawan books Obi Wan almost gets asigned to the Agricorops. Because no master choose him before his thirteens birthday. So a student has to find a master before he turns thirteen to become a Jedi. I think one criteria is the personality. Obi Wan was ignored by many masters because he was hot headed. Remeber the old order was very harsh about suppressing emotions, all emotions. So if someone is too emotional they might not get trained.

    Another reason that isn't mentioned in the books but comes to my mind is that there might be apretices who fail pysicaly or phycological. A Jedi has a harsh life, it appears exciting to us readers but in universe it can be pretty dark. They will be confronted with a lot of pain and grief, and Jedi often tend to get into life threatening situations where they might be force to kill other persons in self defense. So an apprentice should have a somewhat stable personality. And the pysical capabilities to survive this life, so if an apprentice fails constantly at even the basic lightsaber training he might denied becoming a Jedi because he couldn't properly defend himself. The Jedi are no monsters they would only take those into their ranks they believe to be strong enough and its mentioned in several books that the pysical training in the Jedi temple is intense.

    Thanks, Anedon! This helps a lot, especially the part about being physically unable to keep up.

    I never liked the "those Jedi who had not been chosen as an apprentice by the age of thirteen," part and ignore it in my fanon.
    Reasons I can see right now: too aggressive; to emotional; lacking in willpower; completely lacking in social grace and unable/unwilling to learn (the jedi are diplomats after all); unable to admit they are wrong; just unwilling to be a jedi knight; suffering from unremovable battle freeze (the jedi are warriors after all); unable to control your sexual urges (a jedi that sleeps around like JFK would be a security risk if nothing else); too arrogant (some arrogance is to be expected in a young person); too interested in the forbidden arts;

    EDIT: many of those problem could possibly show first during the knight padawan years; I can see many of them being sent to agri-corps after showing themselves unable to hamdel themselves in the field.

    I can also see agri-corps members became padawans to knights if they are able to master what ever problem they had.

    Can anyone recommend a good GFFA expression equivalent to "for Pete's sake" or "for the love of Pete"? Yes, I know about "for kriff's sake," but I'd like to find something a little milder if possible. Maybe "For the love of Taung" (or other deity-type being)?

    EDIT: And another thing: do we know of any officially established GFFA men's shaving products, whether cream, soap, or both? :D

    Maybe: By the Core; Edge and Core; by the Force; Chongo-longo; Haar'chak; the Force preserve me/us;

    What culture/area do the character come from and what culture/area has s/he been the last years?

    I should have asked this with my first question: as a comfort/friend pet or more like a guardian or some other function?

    Ewok Poet: Yay an animal question! :D The Wook has a list of domesticated critters here (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Domesticated_creatures), but that includes a lot of livestock/food source animals/guard creatures. Some of the more pet-like things that I think sound cool:
    http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Husk_lizard
    http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Keon
    http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Kriss - I used a hybrid/mutation/something-or-other of these in one story; they kind of sound like a cat/Sheltie cross. :p

    http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Greysor
    http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Blarth/Legends - Adorable. Or horrible. A bit of both?
