Okay! For this story, say someone put Once Upon a Time, you gotta put something else in. You can write as much as you want until you wanna stop and someone will write in their ideas!

    EDIT: Just changing the title.

The Jedi Temple's training hall was set to a cool climate that day. Five-year-old Obi-Wan Kenobi walked around with his classmates in the Tiger Clan, shivering slightly. It was just five o'clock in the morning and he already had to wake up for the morning class. Drawing his cloak around him tightly, Obi-Wan tried his best to keep warm. He could barely walk because he was almost frozen, but he kept reminding himself he had a lightsabre-training class in ten minutes.

    Yeah! I like this! :D

Obi-Wan nervously tapped a finger on his training lightsabre hilt as he walked. He was actually going to train, along with the other Tiger Clan members, under the instruction of powerful Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn that morning. Relax, Obi-Wan, relax,Kenobi reminded himself. But he couldn't. Qui-Gon was a kind Jedi, but stern at the same time. What if he had made a mistake during the training session? He bit his lip.

"Good morning," said a deep voice suddenly. Obi-Wan slowly looked up. The voice belonged to Qui-Gon Jinn, who stood way taller than the little Padawans.
"Good morning, Master Jinn," chanted the initiates automatically.

Suddenly Obi-Wan froze on the stop, like ice had filled every corner of his body. He began shivering, his nervousness taking over.
Master Qui-Gon gestered for all the initiates to follow him into the training room when his eyes feel on the small student. Obi-Wan felt those bright blue orbs burn through him.
As the others went inside, Qui-Gon approached Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan squeesed his eyes shut as the master knelt down beside him.
    "Are you alright, little one?

Obi-Wan opened one bleary eye. "Y-yes, Master J-Jinn."

"Are you sure?" The Master asked kindly. Another eye opened. "Y-yes. I-it's just that I-I'm a bit n-nervous."

Qui-Gon chuckled warmly. "Many initiates are like that on their first training day. You'll be fine after awhile." He patted Kenobi on the shoulder and stood up. Facing the class, he clapped his hands. "Gather around and pull out your training lightsabres..."

Obi-Wan was still frozen, this time not in nervousness, but in shock. Qui-Gon was so kind to him. He couldn't believe it. His thoughts were interrupted by the sounds of lightsabres activating at the same time. Kenobi perked up at the noises, and activated his own mini sabre. All of a sudden, the lights went out and only the lightsabres' blades glowed in the dark horizon. The initiates patiently waited as Qui-Gon activated his own lightsabre to start teaching the children.

An hour passed quickly, and Qui-Gon finally stopped. He faced the class. "Now, we would conclude this lesson by performing some moves I've taught you this morning individually."

All of the Padawans suddenly looked nervous, not excluding Obi-Wan, who's teeth are snapping together so much that the whole class could hear it by now. Qui-Gon must have heard it too, for he walked to Obi-Wan and kneeled down, "What's wrong, Padawan Kenobi? Are you all right?" he asked kindly.

Obi-Wan opened his mouth, shivering. "I-I'm cold, Master Jinn. I-I'm very cold."

Qui-Gon, to Obi-Wan's surprise, stretched his robe and wrapped it around Obi-Wan. "Are you cold now, young one?"

Kenobi nodded, not shivering anymore, but just stunned wit surprise. Qui-Gon smiled and removed his robe to put it on Obi-Wan. It was way too big for the little Jedi, but it was warmth. "Stay there with the robe on until I call on you," Qui-Gon told him. Obi-Wan answered a yes and the Master walked off to the front of the class.

    Cool idea! :D

Obi-Wan watched the tall Master walk away, and glanced down at the robe. It was much too large on him, and the bottom of it lay in soft folds on the ground. The sleeves hung off Obi-Wan's body, spilling onto the floor. The hood hung almost to the initiate's feet. But Obi-Wan didn't feel dwarfed by this, he just felt... warm.

Obi-Wan reached up to his shoulder, and pulled the robe a little tighter around his small frame. The cold he had felt before was gone, replaced by warmth. The huge robe unfroze every part of his body, and his shivering diminished to mere fidgeting from nervousness. As Obi-Wan moved his head, the robe fell into his face, silk-like material blocking his vision. The initiate raised a hand to move aside the hood, clearing his eye sight.

Obi-Wan was amazed at what the Master had done for him. Qui-Gon was so kind to him, and he didn't even have a reason to be. As the first initiate got called up to the front of the room. Obi-Wan fingered the Master's robe softly, feeling the delicate material slip through his fingers. It was so light, yet it produced so much warmth that you would have thought it was thick.

I hope Master Jinn isn't cold without his robe. The thought crossed Obi-Wan's mind anxiously, and he found himself worrying for a minute about the Master. That he was as cold as Obi-Wan had been just a few moments ago. Obi-Wan found himself wishing he could give back the robe to the Master, so he wouldn't be cold. The warmth of the robe spread across your whole body, into your heart, or so it seemed to Obi-Wan.

His cerulean eyes followed Qui-Gon's every motion, as if trying to see if he was cold without the robe. But Qui-Gon never showed it, even if he was. Initiate after initiate went up to the room, and performed their exercises. Obi-Wan watched at how Qui-Gon gently criticized their mistakes, but followed it up with at least two comments of praise.

    "Obi-Wan Kenobi."
Obi-Wan jerked his head up in surprise. It was his turn to show off his newly-learned moves. Qui-Gon smiled at him encouragingly. Obi-Wan felt braver and bowed. He stepped up onto the stage platform and removed his huge robe. Then he ignited his mini lightsabre and began performing his moves. Qui-Gon watched, a smile forming on his lips. The Padawan was good, no doubt of that. He is almost as good as Xanatos... His smile froze. Thinking of Xanatos is painful. The student was no longer a Jedi. He had turned to the dark side. No need to think of him again, the Jedi Master thought. He focused again on the Jedi initiate in front of him. Obi-Wan Kenobi was no doubt the best of all the students there today, even if he was a little timid. Qui-Gon allowed his smile to continue again. He will be great as my Padawan when he gets older, he said to himself. What he didn't know was: Obi-Wan Kenobi will become his apprentice in the future.

Obi-Wan finished his set of moves. When he finished, he de-activated his mini lightsaber and looked up at Qui-Gon, who gave him a kind smile
    "Very good Padawan Kenobi, I..."
Qui-Gon's comm-link buzzed on his belt. Before answering it he looked at Obi-Wan
"Go and join the rest of your group and I'll be over in a minute"
    "Yes Master Jinn"
Obi-Wan said happily before trotting over to the rest of his clan. Making him way through the group, Obi-Wan suddenly tripped over. He landed awkwardly on the floor, banging his knee hard. Another padawan pushed through the group. Bruck Chun.
    "Hahaha! Stupid Oafy-Wan fell over"
Obi-Wan felt his cheeks burn with embarrasment and tears well up in his eyes. He looked up and suddenly found Bant, His mon calamari best friend going up to Bruck and shouting at him
"Bruck you Meanie! you did that on purpose! I saw you"
    "Did not"
    Did too!
    DID NOT!
    "Whats going on younglings?"
The entire clan turned to see Qui-Gon standing there

Bant gave one last glare to Bruck, before she looked up at Qui-Gon. The hard look fell off her face, and the silver eyes looked downcast.

Qui-Gon kneeled down and helped Obi-Wan get up. He noticed that Obi-Wan winced when he put even the slightest weight on his knee. "Are you alright, young one? Do you need to go to the Healers?" He asked, worry slipping into his voice.

Obi-Wan looked down at the floor, embarrassed that the Master had seen him fall. "No, Master Jinn, I'm fine."

Qui-Gon eyed him skeptically as the initiate winced once again as a small shock up pain raked its way up his knee. He had fallen awkwardly, and hard. The Master turned his attention to Bruck, who was suddenly looking nervous. "We'll be speaking to Master Yoda about your behavoir, Initiate Chun." Bruck gulped visibly at what the Master had said. Qui-Gon turned his eyes back to Obi-Wan, who was limping over to where his mini training saber had flown out of his grasp when he fell. "I want you all to practice the moves you showed me today, younglings, I'll be back in a moment." The initiates obeyed, and immediately started practing their techniques.

In his long strides, Qui-Gon arrived to the mini saber before Obi-Wan could. He knelt down and handed the blade over to the initiate. "Are you sure you're alright, Obi-Wan? You took quite a hard fall." The Master could see that the boy's cheeks still were slightly red from embarrassement, and his cerulean eyes were slightly watery.

"I-I'll be okay, Master Jinn. I wasn't watching where I was going. Its like Bruck said, I'm clumsy." Obi-Wan's eyes suddenly went wide. Did I say that outloud? Great, now Master Jinn is never going to like me if he thinks I'm clumsy.

But to Obi-Wan's surprise, Qui-Gon just smiled gently and lay a large hand on Obi-Wan's slim shoulder. "You're not clumsy, Obi-Wan. You're just growing too fast for someone your age. And besides, if you want clumsy, you should have seen me at your age." Qui-Gon winked at the initiate, getting a timid laugh out of the boy. "Now come on, don't let Bruck get you down. Oh, and that reminds me, what I wanted to say about your lightsaber moves. You have great potential, young one. Your speed, reflexes, and knowledge of the weapon is exceptional for someone your age. All I can tell you besides that, is that you should work on your footing a bit, you seemed to falter on some moves. Just practice it everyday like I know you have, and you'll have it perfected soon. Now go and join your group." He smiled kindly.

Obi-Wan let out the largest smile Qui-Gon had seen in a long time. "Thank you, Master Jinn," he said eagerly, and limped slightly over to his group.

Qui-Gon straightened slowly, Obi-Wan's enthusiastic smile still in his mind.

That little Padawan, thought Qui-Gon, he is pretty enthusiastic about things, but maybe a bit too serious on things. He shook the thought off his mind. Perhaps it was the seriousness in Xanatos that had caused the young boy to turn to the dark side. Qui-Gon did not want that to happen to Obi-Wan. He wanted Kenobi to relax himself and not be so stern about things. But the boy wasn't his apprentice; there was nothing he can do except tell the boy to "relax" and the boy probably won't be able to listen to him. Qui-Gon sighed. There will be six years or so before he will be able to take Kenobi as his official apprentice. Oh well, the Jedi Master thought. I'll wait.

Obi-Wan watched the tall Jedi Master walk away. He was sure that he had just passed another one of Qui-Gon's anoymous tests. But what was the content of the test he didn't know. He only knew that he was accepted. Maybe I have a chance as Master Jinn's Padawan! That thought came to his mind and he automatically smiled. There would be another six or seven years before he is allowed to be taken as a Padawan Learner, but he will patiently wait. Waiting for his wish. Waiting for his future. Waiting for his hope to become a Jedi Knight.

    Good topic!

Qui-Gon entered the Room of Thousand Fountains. He sat on his favorite bench and closed his eyes, ready to meditate, when a familiar voice got his attention.

"Train the boy Kenobi, you want to."

Qui-Gon turned and saw Jedi Master Yoda walking toward him. He quickly got up and bowed loyally. "I didn't notice you, my Master."

"Reach out with the Living Force, you have to, Qui-Gon," Yoda said.

    "Yes Master."

"See through you, I can," Yoda began. "Train Obi-Wan Kenobi, you do want to."

"The boy is quite serious about his lessons...I doubt he will turn to the dark side. He should be an easy one to train."

"Ah, I see." Yoda smiled. Qui-Gon had not taken any new Padawan since the fall of Xanatos and Yoda had always been very unsuccessful in convincing the younger Jedi Master to take an apprentice. Finally, after so many years, the hope of one boy may come true. And that boy is Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Obi-Wan trotted up to his friend Garen. "Hi," he said.

    Garen glanced at him. "Hi..."

    Obi-Wan frowned. "What's wrong?"

"Well, um..." Garen didn't know what to say. "Some of us Padawans just think Master Jinn is in favor of taking you as his Padawan and well, we're just a bit envious..." He suddenly grinned. "But now I feel great to congratulate you!"

Obi-Wan smiled and hugged his friend. The two five year olds happily went to eat their morning meal with Bant.

Qui-Gon paced around his room. In awhile, he would have to meet with the Jedi Council. He does not know what is going on. Sighing with anxiousness, he sat down on his sleep-couch, too nervous to think anymore. Finally, his comlink buzzed. He answered it and it was Mace Windu. "You can come into the Council Room now, Qui-Gon."

Qui-Gon gave a brief reply and rushed out of the room. Arriving at the entrance of the Council meeting place, a Jedi Security nodded at his arrival and proceeded to open the door for him. Qui-Gon gave his thanks and strides into the room, wondering why he was needed there.

"Well, I guess you have to go to the meeting, Obi-Wan. They are expecting you."

Bant clapped her friend on the back lightly. She had seen Kenobi's fear. Obi-Wan just smiled back at her, but grasped his hands very hard. He was very nervous about the meeting. Why would they want them there? "C'mon," Bant said, "I'll come with you to the entrance."

Obi-Wan, grateful for her support, nodded and got off his sleep-couch. They walked to the Council room entrance, with Obi-Wan shaking. Bant took one look at him and patted him on the back. "Don't worry, Obi-Wan. Remember, your fellow five-year-old friend Bant is out here, waiting, okay?"

Obi-Wan grinned. He briefly flashed another smile and Bant was satisfied. She urged him to go. Obi-Wan nodded at her and raised his head to face the Jedi security. The security guard smiled at the little one and said in his comlink, "Master Yoda, the boy is here." There was a grunt of approval and the guard pressed something on his podium. The door hissed open. Obi-Wan looked back at Bant and she gave him an encouraging nod. Kenobi, now confident, strode into the room. But he didn't expect someone else to be in the room beside the Council Members. The man turned at the hiss of the door closing. It was Qui-Gon Jinn.

Qui-Gon turned at the sound of the door closing. What he saw was unexpected - Jedi initiate Obi-Wan Kenobi strode into the room. They saw each other and froze in surprise. Qui-Gon turned back to the Council after a moment. "Why exactly am I here?"

Yoda smiled. "Here you are, a mission we have for you."

    "But why the boy?"

"He is to be taken with you," replied Mace Windu, "because he is next on the list to train as an official Padawan. He needs to know what's it like to have a Master."

    Obi-Wan gasped. He? A Padawan? They're kidding me, he thought. I can't possibly be a Padawan-trainee...

Qui-Gon merely nodded, hiding his smile. "For how long is this training going to take?"

Ki-Adi-Mundi responded. "For a month, Padawan Kenobi will be your temporary apprentice."

Obi-Wan's mouth slowly formed into a smile. He will be Qui-Gon's apprentice for a month. And he is looking forward to it.

    "Oh my gosh."

Garen gaped at Obi-Wan. Kenobi had just told him of his upcoming Padawan-trainee lessons with Qui-Gon Jinn. "You're not kidding me?"

    "Nope."

    "You're so lucky!"

"You're turning six soon, Garen," Obi-Wan replied, "just like me. I am sure you're going to be a Padawan-trainee in a month. Remember, we have to wait on the sign-up list."

Garen sighed. "It's really a pity I signed up kinda late. Obi, good luck!"

"Thanks." Obi-Wan grinned. "Just one more thing."

    "What is it?"

"My name is Padawan Kenobi for the next few weeks."

Garen gave him the thumbs-up sign. "Right on!"

The two friends exchanged high-fives happily.

Qui-Gon merely hid his smile as he approached Obi-Wan the next day. The boy was happily practicing his saber skills with his fellow classmates. "You should be very proud of yourself," the Jedi Master said, looking down at the young boy.

Kenobi looked up from his saber, and quickly, switching the weapon off, bowed. "Good morning, Master Jinn...and yes, I am really, really, REALLY happy about the Padawan preparation coming up." He had lost the professional tone in his voice, and broke out a huge grin.

Qui-Gon couldn't help it - he smiled broadly at the Padawan back. "From now on, you are free to call me Master until the lesson is over."

Obi-Wan let out a loud "Yes - " He stopped talking when he saw the students around him looking at the boy, puzzled, Kenobi quietly but happily turned back to the teacher. "Master."
