MARK WAID (w) • TERRY DODSON (a/C) • The Empire is rounding up fugitive Alderaanians... • ...that doesn’t sit well with their Princess. • But what can one woman do against an Empire? 32 PGS./Rated T …$3.99
Seriously, this was made on the 18th of march? Well anyway, Who do you guys think the spy is, as we saw last issue they had a spy to catch? How do you think about Evaan and the Preserver? I think Evaan and the Preserver has some back thoughts, they look too suspicious. What do you all think of the art? Personally I think it could be more detailed and accurate, I've seen better. Does anyone have any predictions for what comes next?
No great mystery to it Wolfe, 18 March would have been when the Marvel solicits that included this came out.
I think it's fairly obvious the spy is the singer girl who is unknowingly feeding information to her imperial sister
Ooh, I was wondering if this was the book we were getting this week. After this book, we'll be waiting on 3 different arc finales - SW: Skywalker Strikes #6 & DV:Vader #6, and then the finale of this series. And then comes Lando in its wake. This is lots of fun.
Don't forget Kanan issues also coming up. What I am very excited for is star wars issue 7 coming up, apparently that issue will be before episode IV and the cover is a picture of ben kenobi.
It's a standalone about Obi-Wan's time on Tattooine, likely lending meaning to Jabba's claim in issue 5 that Ben Kenobi was a thorn in his side.
It will also have Simone Bianchi art! Yes, this is a big deal. Bianchi is one of those artists who, due to their art style, are useless on monthlies but give enough prep time for a one off and it's guaranteed to look great, see below for what I mean: And:
I don't see it mentioned here that the release date now appears to be next Wednesday - the same day as Star Wars #6 and Darth Vader #6. As if that day wasn't big enough for Star Wars comics already!
Hmm. That seems to be what Diamond/PreviewsWorld is reporting... only a SW#2 reprint this week? That would explain no preview up at starwars.com - they've usually been giving a lettered preview of an issue a few days before release.
Generally, previews hit the web for the Friday before at the major news sites - Newsarama, CBR etc. Can't see this or any other new item on Midtown's list for 27 May, which is an occasional hazard of buying monthlies.
I got the info from starwarstimeline.com's Star Wars Upcoming Books & Comics page on Facebook. Not sure what his source is.
They're giving us a week off ... to buy Star Wars Legends: Epic Collection - The New Republic, Vol. 1
God, it's very cool though. Getting a lot of stories from issues in one day and not just one. This just increases my hype
And the next issue of Secret Wars is out next week along with a few tie-ins I want to buy. Damn it Marvel.
