The hint of sarcasm in Thanoth's time is a tad dangerous, isn't it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yes, at this point they both know what each other is playing. But for now Vader outmaneuvered Thanoth. But I think Thanoth still has an ace or two up his sleeve. This is the issue when all of it is going to blow up in their faces.
Storm-troopers are the only thing i feel like the artist has a consistent problem with. The art looks fine most of the time, but whenever the boys in white show up they always look ridiculous.
And the story continues... Vader Down 1 11/18/2015 Part 1 Darth Vader 13 11/25/2015 Part 2 Star Wars 13 12/2/2015 Part 3 Darth Vader 14 12/23/2015 Part 4 Star Wars 14 1/6/2016 Part 5 Darth Vader 15 1/13/2016 Part 6
So, this is happening at the same time as the Star Wars series? I'm confused, was that Luke in this issue?
In one of the variant arts Luke is holding an ignited lightsaber, and Vader is holding the other one. I wonder if they come to blows again in the next arc, as for the issue it was pretty boring .
Damn, it really sucked that I already knew Aphra would be alive during Vader Down. Vader was absolutely terrifying in this issue, I am sure if I hadn't been spoiled it would have even had a greater impact. I expected a bang and I got one, but a completely different one than I expected. Very interesting issue which I will soon reread for sure. I do admit though the art is getting worse even though there were some great panels in-between. Maybe it's a good thing that Vader Down provides a pause.
So.....after all that there were only three plasma devils? Plus that bit at the start when Thanoth slaps his head and says "Curse me a fool"....I thought he was being sarcastic, I didn't realise he'd actually seen the error of his plan.
Spoiler I expected something very, very terrible to happen to either Aphra or Thanoth or both. Ends up Vader and Thanoth are best buds now, but they admittedly have pretty similar personalities and approaches. But boy, Aphra is in for a world of hurt if Vader ever decides he doesn't need her anymore ... Creepio's humor was so black it was painful and funny at the same time. Gillen really isn't shying away from showing his characters in an unsympathetic light. I love all the development the Cylo creations are getting, they are becoming more and more interesting. And Tagge seems like he's harsh but fair, I kinda like the guy
